In the beginning of Christianity those who did not believe in the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist, such as the Gnostics were known as heretics. The sacraments defined who was Christian. Christ means anointed, Christians were anointed and sealed in Baptism.
The Foundation of Christianity is the Eucharist, which the martyrs professed their belief in as they went to their deaths. You cannot contemplate the true nature of Christianity that Satan has been successful at keeping many from, unless you believe Gods words, "This IS my body". This is the foundation of Rock. ![]() In the beginning was the word, the word was with God, the word is God. The word became flesh through a virgin, the word then glorified that flesh and became His church perpetuated through time by the sacraments. The church militant on earth, the church in purgatory, and the church triumphant. Hebrews 10:19-22 Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ; A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, And a high priest over the house of God: Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water. 1 Corinthians 2:8 Which none of the princes of this world knew; for if they had known it, they would never have crucified the Lord of glory. 1Timothy 3:15 The church is Emanuel, the church is the Pillar and foundation of truth. But if I tarry long, that thou mayst know how thou ought-est to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. The church is Emanuel the spiritual manifestation of Christ because the church is the bride of Christ His glorified flesh. Hosea 2:19-23 And I will espouse thee to me for ever: and I will espouse thee to me in justice, and judgment, and in mercy, and in commiserations. And I will espouse thee to me in faith: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord. And it shall come to pass in that day: I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth. And the earth shall hear the core, and the wine, and the oil, and these shall hear Jezrahel. And I will sow her unto me in the earth, and I will have mercy on her that was without mercy. And I will say to that which was not my people: Thou art my people: and they shall say: Thou art my God. John 3:29 He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth with joy because of the bridegroom's voice. This my joy therefore is fulfilled. Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Ephesians 5:25-31 Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it: That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life: That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle, or any; such thing; but that it should be holy, and without blemish. So also ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife, loveth himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, as also Christ doth the church: Because we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be two in one flesh. This is a great sacrament; but I speak in Christ and in the church. The church is the supreme sacrament. A physical sign that gives spiritual grace. Luke 11:20 But if I by the finger of God cast out devils; doubtless the kingdom of God is come upon you.21When a strong man armed keepeth his court, those things are in peace which he possesseth. 22But if a stronger than he come upon him, and overcome him; he will take away all his armour wherein he trusted, and will distribute his spoils. 23He that is not with me, is against me; and he that gathereth not with me, scattereth. The Kingdom of God is the rule of heaven come to earth. Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent his Son, made of a woman, made under the law: In the fullness of time prophecy is fulfilled and the Kingdom of David/ heaven is re established. Isaiah 2:3 And many people shall go, and say: Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob, and he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall come forth from Sion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. Hebrews 12:22-24 But you are come to mount Sion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the company of many thousands of angels, And to the church of the firstborn, who are written in the heavens, and to God the judge of all, and to the spirits of the just made perfect, and to Jesus the mediator of the new testament, and to the sprinkling of blood which speaketh better than that of Abel. The Catholic church is Israel because Christ is the true Israel and the flesh of Christ baptized into Christ Jesus is His church, the chosen people. Galatians 3:26-29 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. Acts 15:13-18 And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, Men and brethren, hearken unto me: Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people for his name. and to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written, after this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 1 Peter 2:8-10 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of scandal, to them who stumble at the word, neither do believe, where unto also they are set. 9But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: Who in time past were not a people: but are now the people of God. Who had not obtained mercy; but now have obtained mercy. The church is the flesh of Christ the veil, the bride, that through our high priest Melchizedek as the Royal Priesthood offers the memorial covenant of the cross for the sins of the world until the end of time. Hebrews 10:20-22 Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ; A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, And a high priest over the house of God: Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water. The church is the Pillar and foundation of truth because the church is the manifestation of the Holy Spirit on earth. There is the fullness of truth found only in God’s church and outside of the truth are those who maketh a lie. The concept of Protestantism is illogical at its foundation. There is one church established by God all others are established by man. All others that interpret scripture become a traditional interpretation of man. God established a supernatural sacramental authority on earth. The prophets told us of the coming of Christ and His church which is the Mountain of the Lord the New Jerusalem through which we learn the ways of God. Man has no ability to understand God on his own. It was by divine providence that Peter went to Rome and established through the Holy Spirit the rule of heaven come to earth. Matthew 18:18 Amen I say to you, whatsoever you shall bind upon earth, shall be bound also in heaven; and whatsoever you shall loose upon earth, shall be loosed also in heaven. Ephesians 3:9-10 And to enlighten all men, that they may see what is the dispensation of the mystery which hath been hidden from eternity in God, who created all things: That the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through the church, Matthew 18:17 And if he will not hear them: tell the church. And if he will not hear the church, let him be to thee as the heathen and publican. God’s ways are not our ways. Simply reading scripture does not establish truth. It established an image tainted by ego and concupiscence which we have all fallen into. Lack of submission creates lack of holiness , without holiness “ no man will see God”. You either establish your own image of God according to an emotional response of how you feel or you find truth through dying to self in humility and submit through obedience to the faith in the bride of Christ. God knows what our souls require for holiness much better than we do and it is humility and submission to our prelates that is the greatest defense against Satan and honor given to God by giving honor to His princes in His kingdom. On this submission the gift of humility is wisdom. The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. True wisdom is the ultimate defense against Satan. Hebrews 13:17 Obey your prelates, and be subject to them. For they watch as being to render an account of your souls; that they may do this with joy, and not with grief. For this is not expedient for you. The concept of the Reformation was founded on arrogance and denial of charity. Charity fulfilled the law, the first schism and everyone after is a violation of the law of the unity of charity. You cannot challenge the Catholic church in scripture interpretation because it was the Catholic church as the flesh of Christ that created those scriptures, interprets those scriptures through the Holy Spirit and establishes the obedience to the faith in the proper understanding of scripture and the limitations God placed in scripture. The church was dedicated to One Doctrine One Breaking of the bread One Lord One Baptism 350 years before it put together the Bible. The Catholic church put the Bible together for the purpose of having an authoritative Canon read at every Holy Mass around the world. A Holy Mass put in place by God. “Do this in remembrance of me” ... “For as often as you shall drink this cup and eat this bread you shall show the death of the Lord until He come again” ... “The bread of the presence must always be placed before me, it shall be a perpetual offering” ... Saying where is that in scripture when you began to understand what the church is, becomes illogical. The word became flesh and the flesh was glorified and became the bride. If you don’t believe in the bride, the flesh of Christ then you simply create your own idol, by creating an image of God according to an emotional response of how you want Him to be. Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world. John 17:21 That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. The Testament that Christ came in the flesh is His bride for 2000 years dedicated to One Doctrine One Breaking of the bread One Lord One Faith One Baptism in which the Holy Spirit for all times guides in One truth. Taken from, Luke Haskell, with great thanks ... Amen!!! |

When God calls, always answer Him!
Lyrics I, the Lord of sea and sky, I have heard my people cry. All who dwell in dark and sin, My hand will save. I, who made the stars of night, I will make their darkness bright. Who will bear My light to them? Whom shall I send? Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night. I will go, Lord. If You lead me. I will hold, Your people in my heart. I, the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne My people's pain. I have wept for love of them, They run away. I will break their hearts of stone, Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak My word to them. Whom shall I send? Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard You Calling in the night. I will go, Lord. If You lead me. I will hold Your people in my heart. I, the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lame, I will set a feast for them, My hand will save. Finest bread I will provide, Till their hearts be satisfied. I will give My life to them. Whom shall I send? Here I am, Lord. Is it I, Lord? I have heard You calling in the night I will go, Lord. If You lead me. I will hold, Your people in my heart. I will hold Your people in my heart. God Bless! |

QUOTE(yeeck @ Mar 6 2016, 12:31 AM) Well, I did hear the usual platitudes about the Church not being the building, but the people and all that bunk so there ya go!!! QUOTE Psalm 118:5-10New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE) Out of my distress I called on the Lord; the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. With the Lord on my side I do not fear. What can mortals do to me? The Lord is on my side to help me; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in mortals. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. All nations surrounded me; in the name of the Lord I cut them off! QUOTE Psalm 146:1-5New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition (NRSVCE) I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God all my life long. Do not put your trust in princes, in mortals, in whom there is no help. When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day their plans perish. Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God, |

Augustine Exposition on the Psalms (136)
Baptism “Who brought out Israel from the midst of them”. He brought out also His saints and faithful ones from the midst of the wicked. “With a mighty Hand and stretched-out Arm”. What more powerful, what more out-stretched, than that of which is said “To whom is the Arm of the Lord revealed?” (Isaiah 53:1) “Who divided the Red Sea in two parts”. He divided also in such wise, that the same baptism should be to some unto life, to others unto death. “And brought out Israel through the midst of it”. So too He brings out His renewed people through the laver of regeneration. “And overthrew Pharaoh and his power in the Red Sea”. He quickly destroys both the sin of His people and the guilt thereof by baptism. (Psalm 135:13) “Not by the works of justice, which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renovation of the Holy Ghost; Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Savior: That, being justified by his grace, we may be heirs, according to hope of life everlasting. It is a faithful saying: and these things I will have thee affirm constantly: that they, who believe in God, may be careful to excel in good works.” (Titus 3:5) "Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it: That he might sanctify it, cleansing it by the laver of water in the word of life: " (Ephesians 5:25) And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:Thou shalt make also a brazen laver with its foot, to wash in: and thou shalt set it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And water being put into it, Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it: When they are going into the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they are to come to the altar, to offer on it incense to the Lord, Lest perhaps they die. (Exodus 30:17) Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ; A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, And a high priest over the house of God: Let us draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with clean water. (Hebrews 10:19) Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh, is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. (John 3:5) We do not enter the Kingdom of David on earth through our own works but through the laver of regeneration, Grace given freely that destroys original sin and active sin up to the point of baptism. After we have been saved from this world by being brought into the mystical body, the veil in front of the laver, which is the flesh of Christ, His bride, His church where truth resides, we run the race to win denying sin and living in charity which cannot deny truth. |

The Canonization of Elizabeth Hesselblad, an Admirable Woman
![]() Somewhat hid behind the news of the canonization of Mother Teresa, the Holy See also announced for June 5 the canonization of Blessed Elizabeth Hesselblad. Hesselblad, a Swedish Lutheran immigrant to the United States, has one of the most beautiful conversion stories of that period (the late 19th and early 20th century) that brought into the Church so many converts from Protestantism. As a nurse in New York City, Hesselblad came to know the Catholic Faith and the Traditional Latin Mass of immigrants from Catholic nations, and after being received into the Church, she decided to enter religious life and, through special authorization of our dearest Pope, Saint Pius X, she single-handedly resurrected the Order of the Most Holy Savior, the order of St. Birgitta (Bridget/Brigid), that had been utterly destroyed in Sweden following the Reformation (but that had never been formally abolished). Congratulations to all who cherish the memory of Saint Birgitta of Sweden, and of her virtuous daughter, the soon to be saint Elizabeth Hesselblad! Pope Emeritus Benedict breaks silence: speaks of ‘deep crisis’ facing Church post-Vatican II
![]() March 16, 2016 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- On March 16, speaking publicly on a rare occasion, Pope Benedict XVI gave an interview to Avvenire, the daily newspaper of the Italian Bishops' Conference, in which he spoke of a “two-sided deep crisis” the Church is facing in the wake of the Second Vatican Council. The report has already hit Germany courtesy of Vaticanist Guiseppe Nardi, of the German Catholic news website Katholisches.info. Pope Benedict reminds us of the formerly indispensable Catholic conviction of the possibility of the loss of eternal salvation, or that people go to hell: The missionaries of the 16th century were convinced that the unbaptized person is lost forever. After the [Second Vatican] Council, this conviction was definitely abandoned. The result was a two-sided, deep crisis. Without this attentiveness to the salvation, the Faith loses its foundation. He also speaks of a “profound evolution of Dogma” with respect to the Dogma that there is no salvation outside the Church. This purported change of dogma has led, in the pope's eyes, to a loss of the missionary zeal in the Church – “any motivation for a future missionary commitment was removed.” Pope Benedict asks the piercing question that arose after this palpable change of attitude of the Church: “Why should you try to convince the people to accept the Christian faith when they can be saved even without it?” As to the other consequences of this new attitude in the Church, Catholics themselves, in Benedict's eyes, are less attached to their Faith: If there are those who can save their souls with other means, “why should the Christian be bound to the necessity of the Christian Faith and its morality?” asked the pope. And he concludes: “But if Faith and Salvation are not any more interdependent, even Faith becomes less motivating.” Pope Benedict also refutes both the idea of the “anonymous Christian” as developed by Karl Rahner, as well as the indifferentist idea that all religions are equally valuable and helpful to attain eternal life. “Even less acceptable is the solution proposed by the pluralistic theories of religion, for which all religions, each in its own way, would be ways of salvation and, in this sense, must be considered equivalent in their effects,” he said. In this context, he also touches upon the exploratory ideas of the now-deceased Jesuit Cardinal, Henri de Lubac, about Christ's putatively “vicarious substitutions” which have to be now again “further reflected upon.” With regard to man's relation to technology and to love, Pope Benedict reminds us of the importance of human affection, saying that man still yearns in his heart “that the Good Samaritan come to his aid.” He continues: “In the harshness of the world of technology – in which feelings do not count anymore – the hope for a saving love grows, a love which would be given freely and generously.” Benedict also reminds his audience that: “The Church is not self-made, it was created by God and is continuously formed by Him. This finds expression in the Sacraments, above all in that of Baptism: I enter into the Church not by a bureaucratic act, but with the help of this Sacrament.” Benedict also insists that, always, “we need Grace and forgiveness.” Source: https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/pope-emer...ded-deep-crisisLifesitenews |

Happy feast of St. Patrick!
I bind unto myself today the power of God to hold and lead, His eye to watch, his might to stay, His ear to hearken, to my need; the wisdom of my God to teach, his hand to guide, his shield to ward; the word of God to give me speech, His heavenly host to be my guard. |

Demonic house in Indiana demolished
Gary, Ind., Feb 29, 2016 / 04:01 pm (National Catholic Register).- The home that was believed to be a site of demonic activity was demolished last month. The story, as reported in the National Catholic Register, centered on an Indiana family attacked by demons and freed by a Catholic priest through a series of exorcisms. It had attracted international attention after multiple people from various agencies, including a police officer and hospital and social-service employees, gave eyewitness testimonies of unexplained occurrences involving the family who lived there, including levitation of objects and loud footsteps leaving prints. Two hospital personnel reported seeing one of the boys walking backwards up a wall, flipping into the air and landing on his feet while in a hospital room waiting to be examined. In a separate event, the Department of Child Services report stated that the staff at a doctor’s office witnessed one of the boys getting lifted up and thrown into a wall. Zak Bagans, host and executive producer of the TV show Ghost Adventures, purchased the home in 2014 to film a documentary. Filming wrapped up in late 2015, and the coverage is expected to be released later this year. In an email interview, Bagans, who said he is Catholic, is not revealing much at this time, but he is convinced there was an evil presence in the home. “I do believe the dark forces in the house were aware of my presence and did interfere with the production in many different ways — some serious,” he said. Bagans added that, immediately after his investigation, he developed an unexplained physical illness from which he continues to suffer. Priest Adviser to the Film Father Michael Maginot, pastor of St. Stephen Martyr Church in Merrillville, Ind., and the priest who freed the family through a series of exorcisms in 2013, was present for part of the filming. He is not a designated exorcist for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, but since the family originally contacted him, Bishop Dale Melczek allowed Father Maginot to handle the case under supervision of a designated exorcist. Father Maginot had signed a contract as an adviser to the project and insisted that the promise to be truthful was put into writing. “The truth makes it fascinating,” he said in an interview with the Register. “The devil looks bad in this. He loses a lot of mystique.” According to him, people will witness evil but will also come away seeing evil vanquished, or at least made ineffective. Father Maginot explained that the house was boarded up during the winter of 2014, and when it was opened for filming, a hole in the roof had resulted in some damage. “It looked like an animal had scratched through the roof and ceiling, but we could not find it anywhere in the house, and there were no animal droppings around.” Another mysterious discovery was an odd-looking hand mark made into a dusty table in the living room. “It was a long hand that did not seem human; it had no palm and was around 12-15 inches long,” Father Maginot said. Since such things can have other explanations, he would give no opinion other than to say he saw those things. Father Maginot pointed out that the way Hollywood typically portrays evil to scare people is not usually the way the devil works. “Hollywood makes them [demons] like monsters, but, actually, they are very manipulative in how they work,” he said. “For instance, there was a lot of tension between Zak and me in the beginning, until we realized what was going on.” Father Maginot said he believes that the devil doesn’t want this documentary to get out because it makes him look bad, and, as a result, he suspects that he was behind many of the delays and problems. “Sometimes, demons cause scary things to happen, but usually only when they are pushed and shoved do they go that way,” Father Maginot said. “The normal way that demons work is through temptation. I think it’s God’s purpose to show evil at times so that we can see what we are truly dealing with.” Although evil is very real and is something very dangerous to seek out, he said it’s important for people to realize the devil is not God, who is all-powerful. According to him, the devil is very limited in his power because he can never end a life and cannot take away our free will. After the filming was complete, Father Maginot blessed the house. “I did the biggest blessing I could,” he said. “I used holy water and incense, and I prayed it in Latin.” Spirits Do Not Occupy Space Father Vincent Lampert, pastor of St. Malachy Church and the exorcist for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, consulted with Father Maginot during the exorcisms of the home. He explained that houses can be blessed to drive out evil spirits, since spirits don’t live in a location like people do. “Evil spirits can choose to act at a location, and evil activities might have brought that about, but spirits don’t occupy time and space like we do,” he explained. “Something happened to bring on the evil.” Given all the public attention to the house, Father Lampert said that it had been attracting a lot of negative attention before the demolition. “People were going to the house and doing séances,” he said. “Any continuation of evil could have been caused by people bringing it on by their actions,” he said. Father Lampert warned that a fascination with evil can create serious danger. “There are a lot of people that watch those ghost-hunter shows that don’t have a connection with God,” he said. “Evil plays on a person’s mind and memories. If a person does not have a faith life to deal with evil, then his life can be destroyed by it.” According to him, without God in one’s life, there is no protection from such evil. Father Lampert said that he personally does not watch such shows since he’s uninterested in giving evil undue attention.
