Hi, I'm looking to buy a smart watch. Currently I'm eying on Samsung gear sport and s3 frontier. What are the main differences between these two?

Other than better waterproof on Sports (you can take for swimming session), S3 is better.

I'm not trying to defend any party here but that is common practise for water proof phone and gears, they are Ip68 rated but no warranty for water damage. S8, s8+, note fe, note 8 all Ip68 rated but same no warranty for water damage. If one ask why is that, from my point of view, it's bcos the sc can't judge whether the water damage was done within the rated range, 30 min / 1.5m as they advertised.

Understood but I truly never used it for swimming or submerged it more than 1.5m with more than 30mins. The worst case is washing it using hand soup on my basin & raised it till dry after that.

Yeah from your statement above, I guess it's the gear issue since other Samsung devices are fine.

Speaking of gear s3, any of u using s pay with it? Is using s pay on gear also eligible for reward point like the s pay on phone?

I use SPay solely on gear s3 and I can confirm you won't be able to collect the reward points. It's even stated in their FAQ. But like our friend here points out, there's a forumer who said he registered his SPay samsung account on his phone 1st, then only on watch and he manages to collect points. Anyway there's an active SPay thread with lots more discussions.

I already tested just now. I have both s pay on phone and gear, same Samsung account on both. No point is collected paying with gear. Guess I'll let go this gear soon, s pay is my main reason buying this gear, now seems like no point using it. Might just use s pay with the phone.

i heard the point will show but will not show the transaction. somebody did it.

I dunno about that person who said that but in my case, no point added. There are 2 separate s pay apps. One is dedicated app for phone, another is in the gear app. Even the transaction shown in separate app.

I'm impressed by the gear s3 frontier battery. I unplugged it since Saturday morning 7am, until now it's already 60 hours and battery left 30%.
