Curious about smart watches.

There are many fancy watch faces to custom use etc. but because of battery, they can only be seen when hand moves. Aside from that, its only screen saver or black.

So its kind of wasted, because other people cannot see the face at all when we are seated or standing/walking unless we twist our hand right?
