I found the contact issue have been fixed
previously I on 4.4.4, I tick only show sim card contact
after I restart phone, show all (sim, google, etc ....)
right now in 5.0.1, no matter how I restart also showing sim card contact only, great

but if not mistaken use csc changer then need to wipe it

just wait for malaysia 5.0.1 release then flash over

cant really fix it.. still the same but seems the problem gone when i update 5.0.1 but then now my battery is another issue. Adblock can block all ads but seems like it been an issue bcz it consume alot battery even i try to untick show notification and put into greenify list to hibernate.
any sifu can guide me for ads block better battery performance? And also bettery way to save batt? Bcz i jz flash my cache without miscellaneous files (only backup contact/picture/video).

Hi, I am new member to Note4 White.
Jumped from S5 White 16GB.

I read all 16 pages and found that DiGi do have problem with Note4.
I am suffering call drops around Jawi, Sg Bakap area and unstable data (jumps around G, E, H, H+).

I escalated my report with DiGi, hoping they will fix the problems fast.

Besides that, I do love the S Pen and camera.
Way better than S5.

Glad that I won this from my company annual dinner.

Darn it.. My N4 battery can't hardly reach 3h SOT.. My previous white N4 was quite ok.. I wonder what caused it..

During the time of purchased, did you charge 8 hours first before used it?

Adblock will consume more battery for sure. Try to uninstall it and this problem should back to normal. Or else try factory reset.

It is required. I had asked previously with the Samsung personnel and they said is a MUST or else battery weak for certain period of time usage.

I guess that doesn't applied anymore to the modern days lithium ion battery

No it is not required.. Nowadays, you don't have to wait until your battery to go empty, then u need to charge into full.. You can charge anytime and doesn't matter from and until what level.. In fact full discharge and recharge will affect the life cycle of the battery.. But it is recommended to do full discharge and recharge once in a blue moon to calibrate battery.. But it doesn't need 8 hours to fully recharge the battery

for those having short SOT, there's nothing much we can ( as end user )....imho these are the main culprit that causing it...

1. hardware design & poor telco reception coverage

the main issue is the bad telco reception which caused the major battery drain ( as phone need to constantly search for the next best telco tower/station ) and also partly of the phone design. This note 4 reception antenna is placed next to the speaker area not the side or the top of the phone thus it thus might affect the reception signal.

you can check how strong is 4G / 3G signal in your surrounding area using this app : OpenSignal

2. android OS itself

since kitkat, most of us suffer from the wakelog bug which cause the major battery drainage. some use third party apps to solve the issue but to no success ...

greenify : useful to certain extend if your device is rooted. for non rooted it won't help much.

you can try this app : GServiceFix. some benefited from it and to some might think it is just a placebo effect....no harm trying. if doesn't work, simply uninstall it...

Anyone else experiencing sucky connection with umobile? After having N4 for 4months, i have only seen 4G twice when I travel to Puchong. In ampang, umobile data line is a disaster. Can't use it at all in my workplace in jalan ampang. even at my home near pandan indah, data and line are unusable.

If u have such problem with umobile why not switch to other telco ie Maxis/Celcom?

yup switching this week.

umobile's 4G have very limited coverage.

Personally i have test n4 with my old galaxy win.
n4 will always get 2 bar lower than my old phone. so if your area is not in good coverage, it will be worse if using the n4

Why note4 location (GPS) is not accurate as ip?
really disappointed with the it.. bcz using google and also waze from kl travel to damansara, it keep lost connection even on 4G..
