Wah lau...like that also can??
What's the point really?? I used to have a MIDI cable to my PC which hooks to port in the Soundblaster sound card eons ago. It was a cheap CASIO keyboard(not bad, since got MIDI!), can make it to do recording, composing and using the sound card additional waveform samples as voice. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Mar 4 2015, 12:22 PM) now got synth apps & recording studio apps also.so, the reason i ask is whether someone has tried & tested those apps with midi keyboard so that he/she can recommend which is better (sound/performance wise) |

android isn't a good platform for vst as compared to ios. AFAIK the drivers issues makes latency too high, which is why there is lacking in such apps. Buy an ipad + ipad video connector to connect the midi keyboard, works better than android devices

well seems latest samsung phones have better audio chips etc, which is why u can now find irig stuff for it.
so the latency on newer android phones cant be all that bad anymore. |

QUOTE(ajay67 @ Mar 5 2015, 10:02 AM) yup. agreed that iOS is more musician-friendly. even if it has, it will be at very infancy stage whilst ios has already mature so much, the prowess of ios is equivalent to a last gen computer (maybe in the dual core age) build for audio processing. ditch yer droid and come to the dark side or just buy a used ipad which practically goes for nothing nowadays. i am just hopping that i can use whatever i currently have without switching to iOS. anyway u can try this http://heatvst.com/wp/ not sure whether it will works with a midi controller or not. but son u are missing out all the great stuff on ios This post has been edited by pipedream: Mar 7 2015, 10:59 AM |

Dun fool around with ipad kid stuff.... hehe.. yeah seriously we should do that. but i'm looknig at something fun & very portable. anyway i've tried a few android synth apps & none can hv a real live-playing feel. so, i hv to put this on hold, maybe til there's powerful enough android capable of performance comparable to apple or pc. might wanna get windows tablet with latest atom bay trail cpu. i did try playing piano app on an asus t100 & it felt quite good (latency-wise). i hv since passed it to my son. |
