Massive migration of northern Han Chinese moved into Fujian province. Native Baiyue speech are subplanted with Old Chinese, which evolved to become Quanzhou Speech (Chinchew Hokkien) whereas Zhangzhou Speech (Chiang-chew Hokkien)(Penang hokkien) came from Middle Chinese phonology of northern China.

2 version of hokkien

The first version is mixed with baiyue and minnan whereas another version which is the original came from northern origin which is disputably related to the korean (not all hokkien from minnan) , which is why korean insisted that china's history was part of korea once upon a time.
