Role: Business & Data Analyst
The Business & Data Analyst is a vital link between IPG Mediabrand’s information technology capabilities and the media agency’s business objectives. The BA will translate customer needs into new products or services by eliciting and documenting business requirements, analyzing the feasibility of a project, developing use cases, writing technical documentation, conducting an initial risk assessment, and participating in solution assessments.
The BA will work across projects in the Mediabrands technology portfolio including data warehousing and performance reporting solutions, client facing dashboards via Tableau, and supporting new business pitch efforts. A close working relationship will be expected with business / analytics teams across agencies, technology managers, and internal development teams throughout a project’s lifecycle.


Remuneration: RM ~5,000 (Result oriented, hence very flexible working hour, 3 days work-from-anywhere in a week)

Reponsibilities:
• Define, analyze, and document business and functional requirements from key stakeholders in a project.
o business requirements include but are not limited to business objective, KPIs, and user experience
o functional requirements include but are not limited to data models, technical specifications, use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and reports
• Facilitate working sessions during the requirements gathering process.
• Business requirements management; translating and simplifying, prioritization, change management, and risk assessment
• Simultaneously work on multiple projects for a given client and/or across multiple clients; prioritize requests and understand roles/responsibilities of project team members to effectively fulfill requests without supervision.
• Pro-actively and independently identify solutions and formulate actions plans to resolve problems.
• Communicate to all members of the project team in a concise and effective manner; consolidate and distribute information in a streamlined way.
• Effectively communicate and present ideas/solutions in a non-complex manner that is easy for all levels from junior to senior leadership to understand; tailor all messages for the appropriate audience.
• Learn how data is used within an agency or client team in order to advise on how data can be best leveraged to provide business value
• Collaborate with the technical team on solution/project data requirements such as data structure, data mapping in the context of a relational database.
• Work closely with colleagues to develop or build data visualizations that deliver business insights.


Requirements:
 Bachelor degree required.
 3-5 years of experience in analyzing business processes and data to deliver successful technology solutions. Media industry experience and knowledge is a plus.
 Data and Business Process Modeling techniques and methods.
 Experience with solutions based on SharePoint, SQL Server, Microsoft’s Business Intelligence stack, and Tableau.
 Excellent written and oral communications skills, including technical writing skills.
 Strong analytic skills.
 Strong presentation skills.
 Goal oriented and action-focused with strong time-management, multi-tasking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
 Customer oriented individual with the ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
