I do know that you can pop the gear out without depressing the pedal but to engage a gear you definitely need to depress the clutch pedal fully.

Yes it's inside the bell housing along with the pressure plate and disc. Almost 2k inclusive of labour and fluid bleeding for the 3 parts.

OK then I misunderstood your previous post.

Insurance valuation coverage has two types. One is the normal market value and another is agreed value.

Yours should be and the majority of ours is go by market value and they have some funny formula to arrive at the final valuation in the event your car is total loss.

Agreed value is straightforward, whatever amount is covered will be the amount given in the event of total loss.

Agreed value usually they don't simply give it to anyone and also the premium premium for agreed value is higher than market value coverage.

If your persona market price is 25k then you are over insured and it's a waste of money because they won't give you 40k or even above 30k if there's a total loss declared unless it's agreed value.

My insurance agent told me that the formula is Reduction Value * N Years + Month of vehicle usage.

How to get reduction value? Agent has no idea also how the insurance company arrive at the value.

Layman assumption is 90% of market price.
