Hey guys,

I've looking around the forum and found not much on car batteries. So, I've decided to start a new thread on it.
Any good brands all you sifus/car enthusiast out there would recommend and mind sharing what you know on car batteries?

Provide comparisons/opinions on the different car battery brands as well please if you don't mind. thumbup.gif

Thank you!!

Brands that i know so far are :-

Century
GP
Yokohama
Visca
Bosch
Beyonix
3K
KOBA
Incoe
Yuasa

So many brands... How to choose?? What are their differences other than their CCA which doesn't really matter in our hot climate here in Malaysia?

Correct! watabakiu BigMan123 LemonKnight

battery is only used in 2 conditions

1) to start the car
2) when alternator is not providing enough current (especially during idle)

Other then that, the supply is coming from alternator and not battery.

But some new car like myvi, when the battery is weak, the EPS start losing power, panel meter light blinking, and headlamp light also blinking when turn ON..

Err. No.

That’s a non working alternator.
Headlamp May have a split second dim during starting of the aircon compressor. That’s normal.

eii..
just happened to me last time when i drove my sister in law myvi and my toyota sienta, after change the battery then all is good.. the mechanic also did check the alternator output still ok..
for old car maybe, but for most modern car which have a lot of electronic and stuff maybe it affected when the battery is weak
