Hello Pros, i'm totally new to overclocking, just got my new processor that comes with a "K" so i decided to try overclock it. Here is my Specs MSI B85-G43 Gaming Intel i5 4670k 3.4 GHz Kingston Hyperx Blu 8GB Ram Kingston Hyperx Fury 4GB Ram Cooler Master Poseidon 120XL Here's the problem, whatever i try to change the multiplier or voltage (referred to a youtube guide) it just display an bios error after reboot and mentioned will revert back to default setting and it does. So... i tried a different method which is the build in OC Genie function, but it does nothing, my clock speed still remain 3.4ghz and nothing change. Can anyone help with this? Much appreciate....

You need z97 mobo to overclock that cpu. Only Z and X chipset mobo support overclock Haswell cpu

QUOTE(Raydeeyo @ Apr 3 2015, 10:29 AM) Actually i've been trying to use Intel Extream Tuning Utilities to import preset OC profile(http://hwbot.org/search/submissions) that matched my pc specs but one thing i find out that my core multiplier can only reach 38x while many people can reach till 44~50++ Like i said, your motherboard chipset has no ability to overclock any cpu. You need to pair with z87/97 mobo. Even using oc utility wont help you This post has been edited by Jeembo: Apr 5 2015, 02:37 AM

Oc profile made by whom? AFAIK you only have overclock capablity when you paired K processor with z87/97 chipset This post has been edited by Jeembo: Apr 9 2015, 09:19 PM

1. Get latest BIOS from MSI. 2. Go to BIOS setup, under OC section, check if you can enable 'Enhanced OC'.
