Most shops are incredibly incompetent when it comes to Xbox repair. I have no idea why. I once sent my old Xbox to have a controller port repaired, it took them something like 6 months, and even then I called almost every other day to follow up. And they swapped out my hard disk for some reason. All my savefiles gone Just asking, what's wrong with the Xbox?

Yup, definitely first gen Xbox. Or, OG Xbox haha. IMO the best way to repair an Xbox is to just swap out parts. I've swapped out the hard drive and DVD drive before, no big deal. But actually getting spare parts is the issue.
