UBER best if you do part time basis. full time basis will have hard time as income difference is not much. worst still, the risk of being an uber partner is there as taxi against UBER and other apps.

Sometimes as a driver you have called and confirmed with the passengers to confirm trip, drive to pickup point, called again to inform I arrived d, tekan Arrived on the app, customer suddenly change mind wan to cancel, I have no choice but to start trip and end 1 second later lor. Then kena bad rating when I believe its not my fault.

You can actually cancel the trip from the app. Choose "rider no show" and rider will be charged RM5. Rider cannot rate you.

Hello, I created this account to ask everyone's help.

I just quit my job and signed up for Uber X driver few weeks ago. went to their office in bangsar to sign up and do training etc. about 10 people there. they say every 1 must start with Uber X first before can do uber black. to be honest, the boss there quite berlagak/lansi with his quai low accent and smart ass answers.  blink.gif  They dont seem to want us going back to their office to ask questions if we are unsure about anything etc. just give us phone number and ask to whatsapp only.

Personally i think, their support system not so good. not very responsive.

So my questions are :

1) how is your experience with this company so far?
2) since prices of uber x are so low, can you guys actually make money to survive? (now there is incentive for driver, yes, but incentive wont last forever right? so in the future?)  rclxub.gif

Rather than seeing it as a good source of income, try to see it bonus income during free time. Basically something is better than nothing la.

Last week I drove for 3 days, several hours each day & got RM267.

Do it during "free" time e.g. when I drop my girl off for facial, massage, hair cut etc etc so rather than waiting there playing phone/tablet, I turn on Uber & ferry some passengers lo within a few hours. Coming back from a meeting & not in a hurry? Turn on the app & ferry 1 or 2 passenger (lunch for next day settled). Finished work but not in a hurry back home? Ferry few passengers before going back home. Weekend no plan? Drive more passengers lo.......So it's something rather than nothing la you see?

Reason it's not so "profitable" anymore because competition is getting higher. I open the app & can easily see 3 to 7 competitors within 5 minutes. Plus now that Uber is popular already, they pay out less incentives.

If you're smart, play around with the incentive tier system to achieve all the bonus incentives to earn more - know where & when's the best to do it.
