My Gaga, did 29k km only.. bought it on 2013 (but its a 2012 stock, got discount mah), now got somesort of humming noise from the wheel following car speed lately.. sound like "wooo~~" still using stock rim.. i suspect its wheel bearing, but i doubt it because i only did 29k km, however i wont exclude that possibility.. i cant bring the car to sc on next coming week due to working.. or maybe its due to hardening tyres?

A little update to share with you guys, I just changed one of my car's rear wheel bearing and of course no more humming noise.
Meanwhile I was at the SC, I asked my friend (my friend work at SC) to update the ECU firmware, but he updated the TCU firmware at the same time. My car is a Saga FLX CVT Executive. At first, the improvements are not noticeable when I drove out of the SC, but can notice a slight improvements on the throttle respond. However once I hit a traffic jam, I quickly notice the jerky of the car during low speed had significantly reduced to almost non, near to torque converter. I previously curse the CVT jerky-ness to death, but after this update, I start to love the car again. |

Talking about CVT, anyway to improve throttle respond? The worth mods. So far i only did one grounding cable to the engine. And one more think, the exhaust seems quite noisy during acceleration around 2.25k rpm, let say modding the exhaust can improve the sound to a better tone? hahaha..

Today my Gaga shows new issue. The driver side lock doesnt "go down" when i arm the alarm, all other three doors will go down except the driver side. The "gun" kaput?

However, my gf dont like the cvt because she dont like driving a manual car, I think somehow it is related to the clutch. I have no complain about the clutch type cvt on the gaga, but there are few issues.However, back to CVT. I think I handle it quite well with my lousy MT driving skill. As for any other CVT cars that I've driven, there's no "punch" at all, just like any other AT car without shiftshock at all 1. During reverse on slight uphill, let of brake, just right before i apply throttle, aircond compressor kick in and the engine feels like stalling. 2. When im coming out of a junction, making sure there is enough space for me to enter the road and accelerate before the next car arrive the spot, then i happily press the throttle, suddenly aircond compressor kick in, car lost power and accelerate slower resulting me panic and press more throttle and rev to 3k. 3. Just when i want to accelerate, aircond compressor kick in and car jerk awhile then back to normal and accelerate. |
