Hi all,
My car keeps having the same issue even after I sent it to workshop for quite a few times. What happens is out of sudden I can hear 'clak clak' sound from the gear stick and soon the gear shift indicator turns '-' (a dash sign), after that CVT light turns on and then I cannot accelerate my car anymore. I would need to reignite the engine again after that. This leaves me in a very dangerous situation since I have no idea when it will happen, and it leaves me stopping at the middle of the road praying that I will not get hit from behind.
This is what they said when I sent my car to workshop:
First occurrence, they said the CVT software was outdated, so they reinstalled with the updated version
Second occurrence, sent to another workshop, technicians said previous workshop didn't do the 'adaptation' process after installing new software, so they did it
Third occurrence (happenned on the same day after I got my car back), I looked online and found someone having experienced this before, what he did was to change the positioning switch. I went to the same workshop the next day asking them to change the positioning switch, they did so.
Forth occurrence, it happenned again just now.
What should I do next? Does this happen to anyone of you? Is this due to gearbox?
