Oh man the Rapidstrike is one of the best Blaster I've ever own to date lol, and not for the performance reason, simply just because its build quality and the feeling of firing a full-auto blaster. I still very much prefer Semis like Modulus/Demolisher.

My rapidstrike now. Tacticool but that barrel kills the range like nobody business lol. It's kinda useless now with the barrel attached.

Yeah, btw I actually have a favor to ask, do you happen to be able to 3D print a front barrel similar to the one from Spectre REV-5? If you do I will buy it from you lol

Not shooting fast enough in a nerf war? That is what holding me from getting the retaliator from my friend, even when he offered me cheaper price for it. ROF is not good. Gotta have at least semi auto for nerf war, full auto is good. Unless if I can get rival apollo, manual priming is still acceptable. And it has better accuracy.

But if you are playing target shooting game, then no need high ROF.

i would prefer a strongarm/rough cut/ flip fury over a retaliator any day. the retaliator IMO has a contradicting design. it has a fore grip, but the prime is at the top  . power wise, it's just a pistol-sized blaster with attachments, nothing fancy there. you're just carrying more weight than you have to. plus, no slam-fire means lousy rof. if you're using a springer, at least get something with slam-fire, for those panic situations  .

that's just me. i've never liked the recon, so i guess it's just inherited hate.

That's understandable, but once you have used enough of varieties of blasters, you will find that retaliator has very good accuracy and consistency compared to the others.

For example, there really is no reason to choose stock retaliator over an stock elite alpha trooper. The EAT is better in most way, pump action, slam fire and has similar internals. But when it comes to moddability, it is severely limited.

It really makes me wonder why the mod community place a high regard for the retaliator. Maybe it's sentimental. After all it is the Recon's successor haha.

Well yeah, at the end of the day I suppose it always come down to the personal preference and the type of game you are playing.

If you use front loaders in a nerf war on the field, you will get shred by mag-fed and flywheeler. Everyone is carrying extra mags so the pros of front loader becomes irrelevant. Only pros of front loader is being able to scavenge and reload the darts on the fly. Which I can actually do almost the same with a flip kit.

I've used retaliator and stryfe during yesterday game. And strangely I prefer the retaliator more. Not to say stryfe is bad but lol maybe I'm not used to flywheel. Sidearm can be either.

i use the modulus flip clip with my stryfe. works great. nothing a duct tape can't do though  . i think you can pretty much just design a universal clipping mechanism. that way, you use it with existing clips. then add some dart holders on the side. man, that would be bad arse.

stock was too short for my liking. originally planned to make it extendable, but it looses stability and was wobbly. so i made it permanently extended instead.  works great now.

So..Just for the shits and giggles..I replaced the spring in the Star Wars Delux blaster's spring with OMW 5kg. The rest stock, just lube up the internals.

Jesus this thing shoots so much harder than my 5kg OMW Retaliator with Stage 1 & 2 kits. I suppose the size of the plunger makes a lot of difference when the spring is upgraded.

Gonna try primary this SW Delux blaster for tomorrow's game for the lulz.
