Skillful paint job...what happened if just we paint without sanding it? Look awful?

Yeah if you do without proper prepping the 3D printed jagged lines will all still be there and you might as well just leave it alone lol.

But anyhow, this is how it looks like now, not done yet though, still need final touch and dry brushing.

Nerf Wiki poll up-coming blaster. hmm.gif
[attachmentid=6104765]

So far most people love to see Tri-Strike.
I think is because the new main body part of Tri-Strike maybe. hmm.gif
Should be nice if after mod with custom barrel, stock etc.
*
Haha cause by far it's the one with most attachment and most modular Blaster. Perhaps also because it's a supposedly successor to the Longstrike.

Got it done finally!
Elite Alpha Trooper with F10555 x Worker Masada kit
The Elite white color stripe on the blaster is repainted with matching Tan color
Worker's full top and side rails
Custom MBUS with desert digital camo pattern
Magpul CTR buttstock with Worker's foldable buffer tube
Magpul MS2 sling

Internal overhauled for smoother operation of the blaster. Springs are replaced with OMW 5kg with AR removed.
Chronographed at 95-100 FPS with Elite darts.

I am very very happy with the end result biggrin.gif

Hi all, just got into the Nerf hobby and wanted to say hi to the community.

After some research online and browsing the stores, ended up buying a Sweet Revenge (which I immediately spray painted) since I couldn't find a Hammershot anywhere and a Retaliator. Considering a Stryfe and a Modulus flipclip as my next purchases.

Always happy to hear any inputs or tips on gun choices, modding etc, if any, from the experienced folks here smile.gif

Hello, welcome to the world of Nerf!
Where are you from? Retaliator should be very common and available in almost all Toy's R us. I have a couple of retaliator going on sale too, but they are the grey trigger version so unless you are planning to mod them I wouldn't recommend it.

As for the stryfe, best entry flywheeler you can get. Modulus flip kit isn't bad but quite expensive for what it is. I recommend getting a couple of 18 straight mag instead as they are much cheaper.

Hey, I'm in KL so I've been making the rounds in the TRUs around town.

Thanks for the feedback on the Stryfe. Probably will pick that up soon and check some guides on basic mods (removing locks?). 18 mags looks like it has to be ordered online - any recommended sellers? Only saw international sellers with exp shipping on ebay so far.

Also was tempted to get the Strongarm since I had a Maverick as an impulse buy from ages back but I ended liking the hammer priming revolvers. Even slightly tempted by the Doublestrike / 4Victory.

Uhh have you tried the TRU in 1U? Ikano? Midvalley etc? They all still have abundant of Retaliator.
I have a couple of 18 mags with 18 darts for sale, if you are interested let me know smile.gif

I promise you the price is the best, if you can find it any lower I'll price match with it.

Strongarm is a solid blaster but I'm not so sure about Doublestrike, too expensive for what it is.

Hi! Am quite new to Nerf, bought some blasters to play with my son (altho I have an old Stampede). currently using stock Strongarm, Rough Cut and Sling Fire.

I read in the previous posts that it is cheaper to buy blasters and mod kits from China. I dont read Chinese but am keen to get some blasters and stuff. Can anyone here help point the way?

It is cheaper but that really depends. cause shipping is definitely not cheap especially importing blasters due to their box size and weight. I can help you out though, I do import stuffs from Taobao regularly and if you are looking for something in particular, just let me know.

Thanks for the offer. In the midst of deciding what to get and on mods as well.

Keen on getting a hammershot. How much would that cost from Taobao?

Any idea what gives the biggest bang for the buck for modding the slingfire? Is removing the AR adequate? Or should change the spring also?

Yeah, except this a bit smaller for me. Can only hold with 3 finger.

Imo, better accuracy than nerf. Fun for target games.

Sorry for late reply, actually I not sifu of modding.
All I can give you is TaoBao link below:
https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a230r....id=522021340622
Most cheaper way to get.
The con is all in chinese, use google translate if needed. sweat.gif
Good luck to you then.

NerfAbout.com give Nerf Modulus Recon MKII a review below:

Overall 3 of 5 stars.

Pros:
~Looks terrific (at least on one side)
~Comes will modular accessories
~Generally good build quality

Cons:
~Too many shortcuts: design only on one side, uncomfortable egronomic aspects, abnormally low dart velocity, and the question of whether you'll get a version that has the clip compatibility issue resolved
~Performance well below most Elite models, notably the very similar Retaliator
~Not especially accurate or quick to fire
~Decoration only on one side (again)
