When I updated my update cm recovery option was unchecked is that the reason why my book animation didn't change? Can I reupdate again?

I feel the phone is very smooth and the speed has increase dramatically but it causes the phone to heat up faster and faster drain in battery.. I do use greenify as well... Anyone feels battery is better or worse than cm11?

Guys I keep getting this notification and when I open it.. I can't update. It's already highest version I think... This may be the cause of my drain... Can someone advice how to solve this?
