An Official Store? Nice...plus it's near my office since it's in Midvalley. I wonder how does the prices compare to that of the game shop in MV's I.T World.

I went to have a look at the Nintendo counter at JJ this morning, it wasn't as big as I thought it would be but they do have a decent library of games IMHO... New Super Mario Bros is selling there for RM 179, Brain Age for RM 90+. Apparently the place has been opened for 5 days and its sold out on Nintendogs: Lab & Friends..

I envy the staff... can sit there whole day playing Super Mario

According to the sales girl, the free game offer is only valid for RM 99 games. I showed her my NDS (Phat..not Lite) and she kept asking me to buy a NDS Lite. Persistant

Hehe..not all games going for RM 179. Just hope the price does goes down in time. BTW, is RM 129.90 for Metroid Pinball cheap? I don't usually go to Sg. Wang or Imbi, so no opportunity to do a comparison.

I just bought Metroid Prime Pinball from the Nintendo counter during lunch time and this time a different sales lady was manning the counter from that of my first visit.

She gave me the same promo talk with some additional info: first Nintendo counter in Malaysia, gonna open more..one in Penang, and one in 1U, we surf the internet to find out which game is hot to bring in..etc etc.

No...I didn't and I wonder why.

Haha...if the situation was reversed (Counter opening at 1U first instead of MV), I would be wishing the same thing for one to be opened in MV. MV is just 5 minutes away from my office, without considering the traffic jam.

Might as well not give warranty at all...

yeah..that would be nice...and demo other games as well other than NSMB, Big Brain Academy and Nintendogs....

taman desa, old klang road...nearby only. But 1U has one big advantage over MV...lotsa parking space.

Cool! I have a J-card, hopefully there's some nice discounts

j-card members get rebate vouchers a couple a times a year which they can use on purchases. The last one I got was RM 10, the rebate amount depends on the amount previously spent at Jusco (can read more bout it here).

As to whether the rebate voucher can be used on purchases from the Nintendo counter, I don't know, never tried before but if anyone has the time, can go and make some enquiries (that would be great!) because the Jusco site has some vague Terms and Conditions.

Getting into MV was a test of patience today, so jammed due to the J-Card day. I ended up taking the train there.

Went to the counter to look see look see, was that Metroid Prime Hunters on one of the demo units? I didn't buy anything though...might go there again tomorrow during lunch break.
