Well in any case, the "Official" tags only matter when it comes to warranties, not prices, at least IMO.

Considering the fact that it's next to impossible to get any sort of proper warranty for consoles here, that would be an edge.

thurtin: If I could mod you up, Slashdot style, I would.

But all I can do is say THANK YOU!!!11one!

for all the proper information. Having read all that, I think that by supporting the Ninty booth here will only make it easier for us to have proper, more encompassing support for those among us who have started to embrace originals. I hate Midvalley as well, but I'm planning to go once a month there.

I think we should wait for a reply or more info from Blake. I mean, he talked to the distributor, so he's as close as we can get to a valid source. No point panicking now anyway.

BTW, I was there yesterday, the buntings and other media there had a maxsoft email address printed on the lower end, which ties in with the idea of Maxsoft as distro?

firstnight: I think thurtin did a good job of explaining the situation. Granted it's a new counter and I know how untrained employees can screw up PR worse than anything else. If anything I think it's ignorance and not that they aren't confident with their product.

Like reveur said, it's 1to1 exchange, which is different from warranty. We've just been "spoiled" with the Sg Wang version of warranty that we can't even tell when the real thing is in front of us.

Ying: I saw Contact in several shops last week. Sungai Wang, though. One of them offered it to me for RM 120!

Pity I didn't have much cash...

Ying: could be, although actually I rarely go to Sg Wang except to ask prices smile.gif

Still, I think Contact would be great to tide you over till the next game...
