Hi guys.

Am a very late bloomer. Never gave two hoots abt this gaming console thinggy until recently when I finally get my hands on the last good plasma TV.

So here's my question and pls indulge me. What's the best console in your opinion to get, I mean frm a malaysian stand point. I mean the availability of games and stuffs (ori or the otherwise). Prices. Erm things in line with a Malaysian's train of thought.

I dont rly mind abt the online gaming thinggy coz am more of offline games kinda guy. But it doesnt hurt to have a good online feature right ? So the easier the access / user friendlier, the better. For when am finally ready to go online.

I've been suggested to that if am thinking price and availability of ciplak games, XBOX is the better choice. Is this true ? And if so, is the XBOX 360 still the best option or shld I go for XBox One ?

Pls pardon my ramblings as I am a total noob on this thing. Any feedbacks and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Ciplak not worth. U need keep re ciplak ur firmware to play ciplak latest ciplak game, very troublesome n pricey in long term. N here lowyat is strongly against ciplak game (altho i don't care ori or ciplak as long u happy ) so discussion abt piracy is no no here. Get ps not xbox pls.. I now start to realise xbox community in mas is reali small, want sell xbox 1 game also difficult compare to ps game. Last time post selling ps game, within a week gt buyer already. Xbox til now also not a single enquiry , lol.of ciz, all my point above applies to ori game, not ciplak brand.

also, i use to play ciplak, the down side for me is i do not appreciate the games i gt partly it is soo cheap or even free, i ended up having tons of pirated game lying around but never reali play finish a single game. Now i back to ori, before i buy i read game review online carefully , wac utube gameplay, till i m quite sure it is the game tht i want oni i buy, this process is far more enjoyable than simply buying random piece of ciplak game xD thts my pov

If you have extra money to spend and don't want to go through all the hassles, go for original. If you are el cheapo, go for *ahem* but be prepare for possible headaches and tweaking and troubleshooting.

Most important is to identify which type of games you enjoy the most and buy whichever console that has huge library of games of that genre. I personally would recommend Nintendo games because they are highly accessible and you can even use it to impress girls/wife Psst...so next time when you want to buy another game, you don't have to do a lot of convincing to get her approval (because, woman )

So from what I can gather ciplak could cause a little headache down the road and not really worth my time.

On 2nd thought, I might be looking for a cheap 2nd hand PS3 just to see how it goes. Maybe I'll go for the PS4 / XBox One after.
