Hello there. I am a user of Lumia 800, and only recently (around this year) when I wanted to enter Whatsapp application, it always kicks me back right to the start screen. Not that the Whatsapp application is a seamless transaction anyway (always took a while for it to load, I guess to enter) .__.

This annoys me more than it should since entering the application already take quite a while, and to be kicked out further increase the frustation. I am required to press it around 3-10 times in order for me to get in properly. What gives?

try clearing all the old msg? if you have too many msg saved in WhatsApp it will be very heavy for it to load, best is to clear all or archive them to your email if its important.

Clear the cache already. It seems that it would work if the cache is clear for the options of 30/60 days. Do not clear all since that would cause the app to not respond, and kicks the user back to the start page sleep.gif

Had to reinstall only to realize I had some somewhat important messages in the Whatsapp groups sweat.gif

Firmware updated to 1314 that was supposed to deal with that issue for people getting it. Have you tried soft reset?? Your windows phone If u haven't this "might" work. Press down power button and the volume down button for 10 secs, the phone will turn off and reboot! You don’t have to do anything to turn it back on as it will reboot by itself. Hope u get it sorted.

Tried, and still the same (as in, it doesn't kick me out constantly, but only for the first time). Meaning I have to enter the 2nd time in order for it to work properly.

It's okay, I guess. Not that Whatsapp in WP boots instantly as in Android, yes?

Perhaps it is time to buy a new Lumia? There are lots of new models with different price range.

Since you are using the Lumia 8xx, I suggest you to get Lumia 830. The 830 will be a huge improvement over 800 because of the form factor, replacable battery, memory card, camera, etc.

Expect the price to drop eventually because its price has dropped in the US and elsewhere.

Yeah that's what happen when the msg is overload on whatsapp for WP7.8, best way is to clear all then leave it there like 30m/1h it will be done by then or you can go 30days step by step.

Didn't you like backup the archive msg to email or something?

It was better AFAIK for the previous version. The current one seems kinda off, if you ask me :/

Nope, I did not. Nothing that important anyway sweat.gif

Im using lumia 800 as 2nd phone. WA no prob for me. What other messaging service u use & any problem with it?

Using win 7.8 was never a problem to me. Just that sometimes mobile data did not go through. I need to switch off and turn it back on then it will be okay.

The thing is, I don't really use many apps sweat.gif
Purely for internet, picture, call/text, that ever handy Nokia Drive, and Whatapps/Telegram/Line etc biggrin.gif
