thanks for the info, will try tonight.  So when you only turn on the power of the car without on the engine, the whole dashboard will be black out except only the ring colour light up, right?

Yes, correct.. forgot whether need to press once or twice already though..

Hi guys, how is the HRV when driving long distance?
In terms of sound insulation, stability, acceleration at high speeds.

- Engine is smooth and quiet. Typical Honda. I forgot to turn off engine couple of time because of that (user problem)
- Front seat is comfortable
- Road noise not insulated enough. Very noisy. Maybe due to the stock tyres. Try changing to Michelin P3ST
- Not enough braking power. Annoying
- It is stable, but fail miserably on wavy road. Feel like flying.
- interior looks cheap. Hate the dashboard area.
- back passengers complained seats not comfortable asks bumpy ride
- Acceleration quite good even on Eco mode.
- CVT Not refined. jerking at slow speed
- speaker sound quality is the worst

Conclusion: A good Eco car but don't have that unique characteristic for an over 100k priced car.

Unfortunately no auto folding side mirrors after turning off engine.

If u forgot to manually folding your side mirror, you have to start the engine to fold it.

Fyi mine is top specs

Meaning there is a button to fold mirrors? Just that it doesnt fold and unfold when u lock unlock car?

I liked the auto fold when lock car, meaning that I can see the car is locked. How does hrv lock itself? Does it have walk away auto lock? And what audio indication for me to know the car is locked?

Does it have a button on door handle to lock or have to press remote everytime to lock?

Guys,
Recently I am experiencing my car engine stalling when going up car park ramp, at RPM about 1k to 1.2k and speed around 10 - 15kmh.

Do anyone of you experience the same?

I have reported to SC and got it checked but they couldn't find the fault and just reset the ECU (even when there is no fault being recorded)

The is also audible sound and jerk which can be felt at speeds around 10 - 40kmh.

My car mileage is 49400km and year 2016 manufactured.

My current HRV status(reg: late Dec 2015)
1. Rear axle beam issue(replaced with new FOC under warranty).
2. Cracking noise under dashboard when going through uneven roads, suspect some washer missing/damaged causing friction.
3. Wind noise at the side mirrors when traveling at highways
4. When the car is parked with the head facing down hill, there is a loud thud shortly after release brake pedal to move forward.
5. When going over bump too fast feels like the front axle/suspension going to break off/loose (suspect related to issue number 4)
6. After cold start, braking the car feels there is some vibration and not a smooth braking. (Is this normal?)

Of course wait for facelift if u are not in a hurry. Unless there is tempting offer from Honda to clear old stock. Heard from the SA, facelift is only headlight only (maybe backlight too, i m not too sure).

But personally i like the current version headlight better.

I heard the interior in Japan facelift 2018 changed into 2 colors? It looked more posh to me, more like CX3Mazda.

I wonder if malaysia version look like that?

Having this as well on my previous Honda Stream as well. I thought it is isolated to my case only.

I think our car might have come from same production batch.

Item 1. Resolved after two times change
Ietm 2. Honda told me its normal and everyday I am cursing Honda while driving this car
3. Resolved at SC, still have sound but much lesser (they claim within spec)
4. Same, Got SC to check and they told me its the front absorber. Now waiting for parts
5. Same as above
6. Didn't happen to me
7. Car Stops when going uphill and immediately reaching a flat ground (like car park ramp or uphill roads with flat level in between)

IMHO, its not worth the price tag for this car with all the associated problems and poor handling.

Thanks for the heads up on No. 4, will request SC to inspect. No. 7 - This is new o.O Yeah, overall I have the same sentiment as you. Handling wise I didn't expect much from this category. As for the price tag there is not much we can do because government is protecting local vehicle sales ohmy.gif .

Their Sales margin is very high, I used to drive SX4 which was about RM 90k; handling and QC was much better plus CBU Japan. Some rattling came in, only after I changed to a retrofit dash for the radio. FC is the worst enemy of Suzuki cars bar the latest Swift prior to them closing shop in Malaysia.
