anyway u could enquire for half cut auto shifts from japan or chop shops that import from japan.

my bug okok only lar..not classic look..not sporty look..ur's at least u got ur stand..at classic look..me??tak tau mana..dunno is classic or sporty..

i wanna go for sporty look..but i dun wanna lowered by pulling those spring off..i wanna get those drop spindels..also very expensive lor..cause i plan to get disc brake also..then convert to 1.6 engine..

but most of all must convert to 1.6 1st..cause my 1.3 gearbox got problem jor..

90kmh??in mph is around??60 rite??i use to have a 1.2 before..can hit up to 70mph max..with 1.2 gearbox lar..then now 1.3 can hit around 80mph max..and also with 1.3 gearbox..wanna get my 1.6

not sure wat's wrong with the engine wor..tuning could be the biggest problem lor..cause my fren's volks..been ride hardly by those indon ppl before he get it..also can run around 80mph with 1.6 engine and gearbox wor..where u usually send ur car for servicing wan??

wa..u sure or not too old to handle the speed??speed is never say is too old to handle wan..as long u love it..u old old also can handle it wan..

but seriously..1.6 should be able to go higher speed wor..i swap engine with u lar.. u usually let who fix ur car??

cheras??umm..not sure is that the same shop my friend told me or not..cause he get his car from his grandfather..before that..is those indon ppl drive like crazy..engine all seldom service wan..

so when my friend get the car, he wanna do some servicing..cause the engine die off very easy..then he ask the workshop..the workshop told him tat he got to overhaul his engine..so he called me..and told me this problem..but from wat i know..as long ur car can start and drive around..shouldn't need to overhaul your engine..

then i bring him to my fren place and fix..around rm200 the car can run like brand new already..just change some electrical parts only..

me??i service my bug from the famous ming lor..usj..ppl always say him lcly..or gila gila wan..but actually he really do lots of good job for me..most of my nice nice parts he get for me wan..

that shop at cheras doesn't only repair beetle rite??got repair some other classic car wan rite??not sure is benz or mini..

1.6 sure can go very fast..
my 1.6 +1.3 gearbox also can go 93MPH liao lo...

hi all, i am new to this forum, but not new with the classic. been driving this car since Uni. Now 10 years later, with my second beetle, i am planning to convert my door window to single piece. does anyone out there know any restoration mechanic (around klang valley) who can do a good job? i sent mine to this workshop in telok panglima garang. this guy is clueless and had been experimenting with it.
