dude, i am also a VW bettle owner, inherited it from my father, have been my loyal car for a straight 5 years, been broken down and tow back to workshop more than 5 times on the road, but now seldom drive it since i got my new car, coz VW is a fuel gazer!!
anyway, if u wants to find 2nd hand spare parts and engines for VW, i have a place to recommend, its at old klang road, near pearl point hotel, beside pearl point, there a road, beside the road is a furniture shop, and beside the furniture shop is a HSL electrical shop, the workshop is juz behind the electrical shop, and the workshop is a wooden house kinda shop... when u go in, u will know is a VW shop coz there will be some VW there..
the mechanic is my VW mechanic, thanks to him my VW is still running till today..
and there a shop at old klang road too, on the way to subang and sunway if u r usin the old klang road, if i not mistaken, the shop is called CONCEPT, which sells new VW spare parts.

askar, u from MMU cyberjaya as well? i'm ex MMU cyberjaya student ... do u drive ur VW to uni? i've been driving my VW from puchong to MMU cyberjaya everyday 2 years ago.. u might bump into my car b4...
