Hello guys, searching for a good case for under rm1k, using for air cooling only. could not afford good water cooling..

Going to OC my i7 4790K with NOctua NH D15..

Suggest the fans set up as well. Prefer performance(main priority) and silence( second priority)

at that budget and air cooling, take a look at the Silverstone Fortress FT02

Grab Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 for RM369.

Best fan setup would be:
1. 2 x fan intake (front)
2. 2 x fan intake (top) + 1 demcifilter (Dust Filter, import) + remove the default foam top dust filter
3. 1 x fan exhaust (rear)

Note: All fans used are 140mm

This setup allows you to overclock with a stock cooler and keeping it below 85 degree Celsius. For more CPU cooling, you can swap stock cooler with the NH-D15.


For optimum silence, grab Fractal Design Define R5.
I owned one of the Define series and its super silent, placed beside me approximately less than 24 inches.
With either NH-D14/D15 at overclock settings, you can barely hear it.
