Good review.
Maybe can try different type of review to test the phone like: 1. If the phone is switch off, whether the alarm is still working. 2. If switch off the phone and then charging, will the phone auto switch on? 3. Visibility of the phone under direct sunlight 4. GPS review using this phone. Can use different routes? 5. Etc etc etc... |

QUOTE(fantasy1989 @ Feb 14 2015, 10:05 AM) Thanks QUOTE(Super Saiya @ Feb 14 2015, 02:16 PM) Good review. I was aiming on Windows Phone audience generally so at first I was thinking, these audience actually already know these stuff. But again, your point is still valid because I also do mention Androids and iOS jump ship in the review. So, will highly consider these points on next materials. Thanks |

That's my personal recommendation though as some people might take Glance as one of their requirement as well. Should've mentioned Glance feature in my review, but overlooked that. Still, if you don't care about Glance and surface temperature of L930, I personally recommend L930.L830 very strong point is that it is seriously very comfortable to use. |

I am not too sure whether to purchase L830 , L930 or L 1520. Because L1520 is basically an older model as compared to L830 n L930. |

It's true that L930 only has 32GB built in memory, no expansion slots. For my own usage, 32GB is plenty. But if you're the kind who keeps everything (music + movies + 4k video recordings) on the phone, 32GB is probably not enough.I am not too sure whether to purchase L830 , L930 or L 1520. Because L1520 is basically an older model as compared to L830 n L930. I personally don't like L1520 simply because of the screen size The reason to choose L830:- 1. Very comfortable to use 2. Good audio 3. Glance 4. SDCard expansion The reason to choose L930:- 1. More powerful hardware. 2. 4k 30fps video recordings on Denim Reason to choose L1520:- 1. You like large screen, large phones. To be honest, my experience with L930 has the most satisfactory for me. The phone barely give me any problems (unless, of course the developer is a PoS. Yes, I'm talking about Rovio). That's why I personally recommend L930 more compared to L830 while the reason to choose L830 is more. But if you need all the things that I listed in why to choose L830, you will never go wrong with L830. It's a good phone, I like it. Just that I like L930 better. |

L930 does not have this feature? That would depends on your budget and if you're ok with your phone warmed up while browsing. If comfort is a higher concern, I'd say go for L830. If budget is limited, L830 is the way to go. I still personally go for L930 but getting L830 certainly isn't a wrong choice either.Glance is a feature that will display some notifications enabled on lock screen and your clocks even if you turn off your screen. L930 doesn't have this feature due to hardware restriction. It looks similar in the image below. ![]() |

after watching several video on few lumia phones, L830 & L735 scores are very similar, which makes me think that is it worth getting it? how much longer can i use the phone until it reached its limit of no future OS update and smoothness.. worried. guess L930 got more future proof?

However, L940 is coming soon. |

QUOTE(twhong_91 @ Feb 15 2015, 09:33 PM) Seeing how Microsoft works recently, I'd say the moment L930 ends update support is when L830 update support ends as well. They are on the same generation of hardwares despite the fact that L830 released a lot later after L930. These phones has been confirmed to get the next iteration of Windows (Windows 10, overview video is coming soon!) so in terms of future proofing, everything should be fine, in fact better when you compared to most Android phones (hint: Samsung)This post has been edited by mrl: Feb 15 2015, 10:46 PM |
