I downloaded some streaming video but when I open the video it don't seem to be able to forward or backwards , no seek bar . .asf format for streaming video.Anyone know why ? if i watch until min 5 and stop , i need to watch again until min 5 , i can't forward or backwards it.

I had try vlc player , it's the same ,cannot forward.Please help

its becoz when the media file when insert to the dvd or vcd it was in that format where u can't actually forwardor modify it. unless u can find a software whihc can overcome this. i'm not sure if there is.

It's the streaming as asf. I can download it.The format can forward and modified , but when download like normal it cannot.Can someone clarify it?

I had this kind of experience before where the files I downloaded from Youtube cannot be forwarded and rewinded. But I only know one way to fix specifically for those Real player files with the software called as Videofixer. I am not sure about yours.

Isn't youtube .flv format ? mine is asf format.
Somehow , you remind me , maybe the video is corrupted , so I may need program that can fix the drag problem.
