My main concern, will the pictures be clear when taken through the plastic?

I've used the first one on a mirrorless & it's no good at all. It moves inside & since my lens have zoom, it might spoil it & the photo that comes out may be blocked at certain part. I think you'll be better off with those hard plastic cover (like gopro's).

How deep do you dive ?
Assuming you're a certified open water diver, max of 18m.
I doubt those devices are good at more than 10 meters.
Shooting at below 15meters will be very dark though.

I'm a surface diver. Just around 5 to 6 metres. Deep enough to see coral and fishes.

That bad? I don't need anything fancy though. Just good enough for a 4 metre deep picture.

Well, if you're gonna use occasionally then it's ok. And perhaps its a better fit for your type of camera than mine.

Yeah & your lens is a zoom so it moves so you gotta have certain gap when it's retracted. Hence, there's loose space in front of the lens & that's why the position of the camera in the jacket will move. That's why if you can find those GoPro like waterproof hard plastic covering is better.

Can't seem to find a good hard plastic one, though. Any recommendations?

Err, as I wrote, if your camera is not fitly housed it might moves & your shots will be partially blocked. And mine have a tendency to float as it's not meant to be submerged. I think the latter is the most important aspect for you.

I've used an Aquapac with a Nikon point n shooter...images were just OK at best. Recommend u pop in a sachet of fresh silica gel to help reduce condensation inside the bag.

Such bags are fiddly and cumbersome with a strong tendency to flap around in a current.

Been using a Lumix DMC-FT2 for several years. There's water condensation probs with that too...even when moving from an aircon room to the warmer air outside. After use in wet environs, I dry it out overnight in an aircon room or in a sealed plastic bag with silica gel pack in it. Photo quality is not great.

TS no intention to get dslr with actual waterproofing case?

No. Financial deep water after purchase of pebble steel plus cny expenses. Forgot I had a dive trip coming up and need a quick way to waterproof my existing camera.

What about getting a SJ4000 kit??
