What phone and model should I get for my wife. She is looking for a phone that can sync with Outlook easily. No need to root phone or do some PhD technical wizardry on the phone just to sync reliably. That is most important. Not so big on apps but she would like a big storage and fairly okay camera. Phone must not be too expensive - - preferably about RM 700 or so.

if u want to get out from the crowd of Android, can try Nokia Lumia series. i believe Windows Phone can easily sync Outlook.

otherwise, there are endless Android choices for RM700 budget.

suggest go for 5inch phone if she want edit ms office documents. both WP and android phone doesn't have problem in sync outlook, set up calendars as long as she set up the account properly
