QUOTE(Slyp @ Apr 16 2015, 11:28 PM) how is it better than all Spigen's cases? currently using Ultra Hybrid and I don't like the flat power and volume buttons. In terms of protection and durability, Spigen cases aren't particularly that great. Most people buy them for the style and/or the name (because shops stock a lot of Spigen, and they've got videos are all over Youtube). A friend of mine had a Spigen case+bumber combo thing (forgot the name) and the bumper part of it cracked when he wanted to remove the phone. My Spigen Capsule case became loose within the first two weeks of use, and within a month I could feel the phone moving inside the case. If you like the look, then go ahead, but don't expect much in the way of robustness. This post has been edited by G-17: Apr 17 2015, 12:04 AM |

QUOTE(hammerjit @ Apr 17 2015, 09:53 AM) The iVisor Glass is a waste of money. Touch sensitivity is sorely lacking. Get the standard film iVisor instead. It's also 100% edge-to-edge coverage, has much better touch sensitivity and is also washable. No idea where they sell it in M'sia though.QUOTE(Slyp @ Apr 17 2015, 01:34 AM) I don't own either of them (prefer slim cases myself), but both get great scores for protection on all the websites I've seen. Like you, I did try the Atmos X3 and share your opinions about the buttons. I wouldn't call it hard to press, but it's got this "squidgy" kind of feeling. This post has been edited by G-17: Apr 17 2015, 10:41 PM |

QUOTE(Noobi3 @ Apr 19 2015, 11:37 AM) This 1 boleh ? Got a trader here got 1 extra in white . RM80 or 90 i think , forgot but not more than rm100 That's quite expensive, considering how little material you're getting in that case. I've noticed that many of these ultra-thin type cases often get loose around the left and right. Not loose enough for your phone to pop out, but you can slide your finger across and they'll flap like paper after a few weeks of use. Not saying all brands are like that, but just take note when you're searching.QUOTE(adriankhoo153 @ Apr 19 2015, 09:23 PM) Anyone using Apple leather skin casing? Thought wanna try but rm199 is like @.@ It's like a person wearing a branded leather jacket but forgot to wear pants. If you're okay with your phone going commando at the bottom, then fine. If you want protection on all sides then there are other leather (or synthetic leather) cases out there that do a better job. This post has been edited by G-17: Apr 20 2015, 01:23 AM |

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Apr 20 2015, 06:56 AM) Only ones I can think of that are readily available in Malaysia (either Apple speciality stores or online) are the Unique Helio and Gramas Helium.Uniq Helio is about half the price of the original Apple case and covers all corners, but it's not real leather and the port openings are kinda tight if you're using aftermarket lightning cables or headphones. Volume buttons feel kind of squishy also, but the work fine. The Gramas Helium costs about RM140 - 150, and the leather is genuine and quite good quality (like everything made by Gramas). I don't have one, but I did try it out with my phone and the button feel is good. I'm sure there are many others, but as I said, these two are the only ones I've seen available most of the bolehland stores that offer four-sided coverage. QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ Apr 20 2015, 10:20 AM) i don't like flip cases. so the super thin version helium is kinda exposed at the bottom as well. It's a trade-off in order to support more aftermarket headphone and lightning plugs, I guess. With the thinness of the iPhone 6, I don't think you can shape leather in such a way to get big enough port openings and have it cover the entire bottom at the same time, which is why most of the leather cases leave the bottom fully or half exposed (like Mujo, Burkley, Alto, Barbour International, etc). Apple could do it with the previous iPhone 5s case because that phone was a bit thicker, but even then there were complaints with certain popular third-party lightning plugs not fitting. Not a big fan of leather cases myself though (personally feel it's a bad idea in our climate), so maybe there are some genuine leather 100% coverage models that I just don't know of. Good luck with your search, and do share if you find anything good =]http://www.helium.tokyo/products/hl264.html QUOTE(Toriko @ Apr 20 2015, 04:04 PM) http://www.store.macstudio.com.my/product-1197816.htmlThey only have 3 or 4 colours available though. QUOTE(TheDeadlySins420 @ May 14 2015, 12:56 PM) Not necessarily. It's not the material, but the application. In carbon fiber's case, it's all about the way it's woven.. You can lay it in such a way that it's very hard, but also very brittle, or you can lay it in a way where it flexes a lot, but isn't as brittle. The latter is probably more suitable for shock protection, but there's obviously a lot more to it than that. Personally, most of the carbon cases on the market are just marketing fluff. Hamann, being a motorsport company, obviously have more credibility in that area, but I doubt they have the same engineers who make panels for racing cars in charge of simple phone cases. It's a nice case though. Nicer than a lot of other carbon cases. Problem is you need to be driving a Hamann modified BMW to be able to match the case. QUOTE(discretesound @ May 14 2015, 04:27 PM) Yes, I have experience. Saw picture of case. Looked at price. Told them to F*ck Off. Great experience. QUOTE(neverknowgirl @ May 14 2015, 12:12 PM) btw anyone here using wireless earphone? Budget?my earpod now at the end of its life . thinking whether should i buy another earpod or change to other brand such as shure or jabra. still need to know if anyone here have experience using wireless earphone. If you can afford it, it's probably a good idea to get a Bluetooth receiver/adapter thing. A few companies are doing it now. That way, you can plug in whatever headphones you want. Typical bluetooth headphones have crappy DACs (digital to analog converter) inside them, which doesn't really do much for sound quality. Not a completely wireless solution, but better sound and you still won't need to have anything plugged directly into your phone, which is still good for most portable situations, unless you plan of working out or running with them or something. I have a pre-order for this baby. Planning to pair it with my FitEar customs. http://nobleaudio.com/en/shop/wireless/ Yes, it's expensive, but I'm sure there are much more affordable options on the market. Edit: Something like this. Amazon has a lot of cheaper ones as well, I reckon. This post has been edited by G-17: May 14 2015, 06:53 PM |

QUOTE(viqq @ May 22 2015, 01:35 PM) Yeah, oh well. I'll use it until I get a better case. Any suggestions? Not too bulky yet provide some good shock absorption protection against drops. I'm liking the UAG but the cut hole put me off. I'm a iPhone 6 Plus btw. Cases that provide good impact protection need to be a bit bulky. The Thule Atmos is great, but it's not exactly slim, bro. You have to compromise and make your own decision on how much slimness you're willing to give up for protection, or vice-versa, and find the best balance for yourself.Any Thule Atmos x3 owners here? a good candidate for my next daily driver case. Today I took off my case for cleaning, and found the size of the naked 6 such a joy to use one-handed, except for the slipperiness. My case (this one) isn't super thick, but it still ads a few mm to the sides and back. Never realized such a small difference in size would result in such difference in the hand. Now I'm starting to regret giving away my Power Support case. Maybe I'll order one of those ultra thin cases - Shumuri Slim Extra looks good - if I'm still in the mood when I wake up tomorrow.

QUOTE(janson_kaniaz @ May 31 2015, 08:28 AM) QUOTE(jrlogger @ May 31 2015, 07:42 PM) As far as I know, there's no reseller in MY or SG. I saw it on a Japanese friend's phone, and decided to get one for myself. At the time, my mum and sister were in New York on holiday, and so I asked my cousin (Amazon Prime member) who lives there to order one for me and pass it to my mum. No need to pay for delivery that way. Was thinking of buying one of those d-Brand or Slickwraps skins for the back to combine with the AndMesh case for a 2-colour effect, but in the end I gave up on the idea (because I'm lazy). It's a good case, imho. Obviously not as great as a Thule or Magpul with regards to protection, but I like how easy it is to put on and remove, the tight fit, and the holes in the back help with letting heat escape the phone's surface during use. This post has been edited by G-17: May 31 2015, 09:06 PM |

Simplism make some really nice cases. Sadly, I don't know any place that stocks them.

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Jun 26 2015, 07:02 PM) I only have the regular 4.6" iPhone 6 and used to always just carry phones in my back pocket, but recently I've gotten myself a waist-pouch and just chuck the phone in there, together with my wallet, keys, etc. Helps if you get a type with a separate slim sleeve/pocket for the phone so that you can easily slide it in and out. Will make you look like a pasar-malam stall owner or VCD seller though. |

QUOTE(dino89 @ Jun 27 2015, 11:46 AM) That's tacky as heck. Even worse than pasar malam look. So far, the nicest I've seen online (imho) is this, but it's even more expensive. More expensive stuff; http://store.headporter.co.jp/ http://head-porter.org/porteryoshida.html http://thathobo.com/ http://master-piece.co.jp/ Just find a shape you like, see the type (ie; sling, duffel, shoulder) and then go to Amazon and find a cheaper alternative with a similar look. |

QUOTE(weretiger @ Jun 28 2015, 12:12 PM) The correct term to use is hairdresser or stylist. Real barbers are too bad-ass for those So basically, we've got the VCD seller look, the hairdresser look, and the fake-FBI pretending he's carrying a gun in holster look, but still nothing sensible. |
