Hello all guru's n sifu's.

Previously i was working with a big oil n gas service company, but because of the recent oil crisis i am ashamed and sad to say that i am one of the unlucky ones affected.

Can anyone give me advice/tips or pointers on how to overcome this? I am 25 years of age n have 3 years experience as a Field technician (Reliability/Specialised Maintenance) with knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, electrical, also Lead n supervised a team/crew during offshore operations. I have a diploma in mechanical engineering with a cgpa of 3.12, if it helps i also obtained band 5 in muet and completed 2 training courses previously overseas. Can please share info or tell me with my experience is it possible for me to get exposed internationally? Heard people saying to go international need at least a degree or 5 years experience.

Would love to further my studies for a degree but i need to support my family financially so i dont think its an option i can choose. Is there something i can do to make myself more appealing for future employers? Or do i already meet the requirements/criteria n have a possibility to get through this?

Help anyone? Sorry for nagging but so far i dont have any reliable leads yet..

Bro im sorry to hear that. I see you have some maintenance background. just take this opportunity at least take some technical certs like API or CSWIP.
With this certs and your background at least u can go freelance while finding another job.

I am sure you will be fine..stay positive.

I thought the drilling companies awal awal kena d? unless it is 2nd wave.
Times are real bad for contractors now, no operator wan to spend anything if in all possible.
