SNAP!
I have to concur with you. I am in my first few years of employment and my mindset is ' I am hired to learn, not to earn'. I am appalled at the attitude of these interns that think they deserved to be paid >1k a month.
At this point, I dont mind a pay cut as long as I can keep a job.

So we received a lengthy email from the head of engineering in Malaysia.
they called it cost cutting measures, but whatever it is I have another three months to look for job, or else I'll be jobless.

Sigh.

Time to look for a job. or (worst case scenario) an Internship . Cant afford to not have a job.

lets crash the career fair in UTM !

Tough luck bro..atleast they gave u 3 months notice.
I was offshore the day before n then back to work on the next (No rest/off day), when lunch time was over i found myself clearing my belongings and had to be "escorted" off the premises.

Good luck on your job hunting, we need it.
Crash the career fair we will!

damn that sounds really brutal. But that's the reality of working in this business, very volatile. One day you are in, next day you are out. They should have give you some time to really digest the news.

Mine was a bit expected since we have done our appraisal earlier. So me and my boss talked about my commitment, and i fully understand his sentiment. I am young, no commitment aside from a motor kapcai, no wife no kids. I try to put myself in his shoes and I believe that letting me go instead of my other colleagues will be the least heartless of all. So, letting go of you co-worker is very personal for him.

Best of luck to both of us, at this rate I have no problem taking a job with major paycut from what I am earning now. I am still learning anyway, not earning. thumbup.gif
