Some small companies maybe only have one or two hr personnel in charging of everything including from recruitment to payroll.
Big companies however, have different hr branches and very specific in their job (e.g. a person just for university intern placement).
For instance, if you send your resume to a hr personnel doing payroll, your email probably won't even get read.
So how do you get to the right person?
1) Be concise when you're making a phone call or email. Ask for the person in charge of intern placement.
If you can't reach them, ask for a name so you could call back other time. Maybe next time you can ask for the person specifically since you have their name. (From that you're making progress).
2) Be interested when you're asking for the placement.
Instead of just asking "bang ada intern placement x bulan depan?". Make your conversation with them a memorable one so that their could remember you.
3) Always ask if you could deposit your resume to them even there are no intern vacancy at the moment.
OnG industry is very versatile and project-based. Who knows they might get a project a week later and need someone? (It happened to me) And your impression takes into account here.
Well, if you have an inside referral then things would go much easier. But I'm speaking with my own experience without any referral. It is possible!

Thanks for sharing.will put this to good use.
