Kita satu Borneo. Boleh bah kau sama kau. Kenapa tak cuba cari kerja with SAMUR Sipitang project? Rekayasa is the main con, Apex Engineering is one of the subcon. You have tons of opportunities at Sabah. You can try Methanol Labuan during plant turnaround & shutdown, or if you have balls why dont just walk in to Talisman & KPOC office at KK? Local Sabahan are given high priority for O&G employment. Too bad I dont have much connection at Sipitang.

Do not give up. There will be a chance for you later if you really serious looking for jobs.

Btw, Awek Sumandak gooding #BroFist #FistBump

Thanks for the advice bro. Im trying my luck everywhere now even some of the companies you already mentioned. Banyak sumandak d kiri kanan tp cari makan lg penting #FistBump

Yes. They clinched an EPCM contract with EMEPMI for brownfield works. If they offer you a contract post jangan fikir banyak just take it. Do not ask about working environment and such. Cukurlah.

In fact I am also preying for Contract Manager with WGM but their requirement is too high. Damn.

I think many people here misunderstand why companies hire intern.

dont know, dont want to know or dont care?

Since I believe this reply is quite harsh in nature so I will reply to you in the same manner just so you know where you stand.

People are not slaves unless you want to be one.

Everyone is hired in a company (i mean proper for profit company-yes I am a capitalist) to serve a purpose often directly beneficial to the company either through financial or resource gain. NO company hires intern just to teach them.......name me one if I am mistaken I can easily disapprove by asking you to review their tax filing.

1. Malaysia gives companies tax exemptions for structured internship programs (main reason why most companies start internship programs)

2. Companies need people to do the menial job(eg: data entry) which mat-senior yang ego sangat biasa tak nak buat.......very common, I think this is no.1 reason in Malaysia

3. Reduce risk of hiring a wrong person (interns who will go on to become employees) or actually to review talented potentials.

4. Strained department budget or poor profit margins hence unable to hire on a fulltime basis.

and others.

So my advice is don't devalue yourself too much because it will show the lack of confidence. Nanti industry complain pulak fresh grad semua takde confidence.

Muhibbah is our subcon (GenCon) for my project brows.gif And yes they are looking lotsa peoples to run my project.

Beside Muhibbah, another GenCon is CCEM or China Chemicals Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd - also my subcon for my project - also looking for lotsa peoples for my project.

Please approach this two subcon because seriously they are lack of peoples to run my project. This is the perfect time to build your O&G project reference in your CV. Susah benar nak cari orang sekarang banyak main project Middle East sahaja because the pay over there is kinda gooding.

No I wont feed you who are the HR peoples in Muhibbah and CCEM. Cari sendiri. Abang Google kan ada. Snail mail your CV or walk in to their HQ offices at KL if you are serious looking for jobs.

Do not ask about working condition and such. Aku sendiri kerja sepuluh jam sehari, Isnin sampai Sabtu, masuk pukul 0700am sampai 0600pm. Ini lumrah project. Long hours is a must. Even Ahad pun aku kena kerja tapi OT dibayar cantik laa brows.gif

Maafkan saya yang lemah dan tidak berpengalaman ini.

I wont be surprised if Opcom suddenly venture into O&G business similar to Scopetel or Asiaflex, providing commissioning of optical cable for subsea - or providing PAGA and telecommunication related services to O&G. Kita tunggu dan lihat sahaja.

Kita semua sebenarnya ikan bilis. Sobs.

Of course its on track. Hiccup? Delay? There will be always a catch-up plan. The construction is on 24/7 mode right now.

This project give me a huge challenge unlike my previous project that I used to deal before. Fast track project always keep my adrenaline running.

Rasa nak berbuih mulut sekarang pun ada hahahahahaha

Not bad doing downstream project anyway. Sapa cakap to earn good money must be everything Offshore job? (Upstream) hehehehehehe. Downstream project pay good money too.

Maafkan saya jika statement di atas agak sedikit kebanggaan. Tiada niat di hati untuk berkata sedemikian. Saya sedar saya hanyalah budak mentah dalam industry minyak dan gas ini.

Their EM is my BFF. The guy is looking for hardworking engineers. You'd better "show" your willingness to work hard and long hours to him if he interviews you.

And speak good English; fluency in English is sometimes used as a tie-breaker to select new engineers who are at equal standings. Now there are many engineers to select from and you must be lucky to be invited for a job interview with them.

Good luck. Competition to get into O&G consultant is very fierce now. brows.gif
