I've returned to bolehland permanently. No more rotation and field work. Jadi salesman. Lol. Cashing in on the REP perks... Not much perks but at least better than nothing. Legit taxpayer now.

Times are hard... Some buddies of mine were laid off in middle east North Africa. Do not quit before securing a signed offer letter.

Ohaiiii otai REP perks gooding by TalentCorp?

I'm still looking for an opening for Corrosion and Inspection Engineer post. Dunno why but so hard to find an opening (<3 yrs working exp) for Materials Engineer like me. Most that I could find are senior engineer posts. Any ideas on where should I start looking/applying?

I'm a Legit taxpayer for 2 years already...

I applied before the amendment. Previously was 2 CKD duty free and usual 15% flat rate income tax for 5 years...minimum 6yrs working abroad.

But now it's 1 CKD or CBU and same 15% income tax....now minimum 8yrs with degree.

Haha. You under the REP also? Sakit lah the tax...even with 15%. Not used to "donating" to the gomen.

I'm not under REP.. tired been 7 years working oversea as expat.. back to Malaysia to find a wife..

I worked 8yrs abroad... U 7yrs qualify for Rep.
Haha... Time to settle down eh. For me want to spend more time with kids. Growing up fast... Scared missing out.

I'm not qualified, as I was working oversea, I have earned employment income in Malaysia too..
Now tax max up to 24.5-25%... ohhh my...
