QUOTE(hotfxmy @ Apr 6 2015, 09:19 PM) US just open. Seems playing a fool there and trying to fool amateur to believe EUR/USD going up. USD/JPY on support, Dollar Index on bottom and support, market no liquidity, no intention to end up higher on price action. Don't think it will goes up just like that. Hi all, new guy here. I was thinking of buying EUR/USD at 8:00pm before after seeing that the price has rose past last friday's closing price. But cancelled halfway cause I'm having doubt, thinking that I should wait and see first. Reading your post kinda put me at ease.

QUOTE(hotfxmy @ Apr 6 2015, 10:36 PM) Normal day maybe yes, but Easter Monday, too low liquidity to trade on no Price Actions move. I thought to trade DAX earlier, the spreads are just too much today. 7 pips, crazy. Otherwise I have traded it. US have bad news that day, no reason those indices to goes down on Friday. Just don't have enough ball to trade it for recovering back to Friday price. Anyway, just my personal opinion on EUR/USD. I just don't think we have enough market participant today to push the price go higher. I expect it to break down maybe back to 11,000 or playing at this area and call it for a day. Haish, bad day for me. I totally forgot about Easter Monday. I tried to get some small profit this morning from price retracement due to last week's NFP. But I made a totally silly mistake of not checking the news first. By the time I realized this, I already lost 50 pips for today. Oh well...

QUOTE(andrewcha @ Apr 16 2015, 10:20 AM) [attachmentid=4413293] I don't understand. Time announcement is 1030 but why results is already out? Gain a 50+pips here btw. This unemployment change is the data of no people working or people get back to work? Why lower number is better? Sorry as I post this kinda thing here. Trying to learn and establish myself here also. Not really sure myself but I think it's because the actual numbers is better than forecast numbers even though is lower than the previous one. I usually refer to forexfactory.com if i'm not sure what the news is about. [URL= QUOTE(andrewcha @ Apr 16 2015, 10:51 AM) So the DST should be On or Off? Turn off the DST on settings.

QUOTE(poks @ May 21 2015, 10:51 AM) Interest rate; In my opinion, increasing or lowering interest rate is an indicator to the current economic of particular country. One of the function on interest rate increases is to curb high inflation. you have to do extra homework on interest rate & inflation... Conclusion, if US increase its interest rate; it is a good sign that the economy is doing good thus increase the demand of usd and it stocks. Otherwise, decreasing interest rate will show the economy is having difficulty thus lowering rate will encourage borrowing, more money to spend and in theory will stimulate growth.. All this interest rates, news, etc. make my brain hurts and every time I tried to learn it, next thing I know I already fell asleep. A simple diagram could help I think, so far the explanation I found is walls of text, which then differs from person to person, which hurts my brain even more...

QUOTE(sleepwalker @ May 21 2015, 03:58 PM) How does one gain an education? From books with walls of text.. not a simple diagram and forex is no different. QUOTE(denver1347 @ May 21 2015, 04:11 PM) Learning the data do help, but the reaction of the market on the data is the key for your profit. ok. I'll try harder next time...
