Just bought Standard edition yesterday and not yet started. Try login to character screen and start 2 seconds lag on character page while choosing character. Went back to this forum and saw many post about latency or whatever lag problems. Went to Blizzard forum also same. High FPS or whatever Sh1t. Actually is the problem solve now? Feeling like wasting my RM 140 for the game... Im sure my rig will run in high settings because there is no lag on the famous game MGS Ground Zeroes

How is your latency with other games?

140 for a standard edition? wat the..

I bought at Blizzard website. Downloaded 23GB total files.

Other games like Dota 2 running smooth without lag. Most Steam online games with high graphics running smooth for me.

fps cap set to 60? i dono try.. it work for most ppl there say.

How to set? Will try once i go home later. Now working night shift. 23gb download only 8hours means the speed already fast. Download speed is 800kb-1000kb/s should be no problem while playing online games. In dota 2 i get ping just 30-50ms. Havent see how Diablo perform. But the dissapointed part is havent go inside the game already start delay lag on character page

i see there are sea edition, probably you bought us edition?

The main game should be us version while we can play on asia region.

US version is correct don worry. to set the FPS cap is at Setting or In game Setting...is very easy to find..

there is still some spike lag. first 10 minutes is ok, then the lag comes. hit the mob but the mob stand still then few seconds later only the mob dies. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz i hate that lag!

running on SSD? i personally find it a must for d3.

My desktop only got one HDD inside, no SSD. Tried private game still playable, but there is SOMETIMES spike lag. Havent try public game. Maybe public game worst? Just finished skeleton king quest, will see how the game continues.

which lag? connection lag or low FPS? if it's connection lag, you can try tunneling service. if it's FPS stuttering lag, and if you don't want to whip cash on ssd, I will try to move D3 into a 32gb USB pendrive. this is because D3 don't load all the file at once but instead keep reading from your HDD when you're playing, this leads to stuttering lag whenever you first cast your skill etc. pendrive helps because it has faster read response time compare to HDD. you dont need to redownload again. follow this guide:

hm? you mean stick the thumdrive into usb? for sure you do.

btw, does your standard edition means standard edition ROS or vanilla D3? i think vanilla d3 will get away with 16gb pendrive. you can try first and see how it works. if you're playing ROS then you need 32gb.

I dont understand what is vanilla d3? Just bought the standard edition with diablo face in front. Not Tyrael.

And i download throught their website cost me around 20gb for whole game.

have you tried changing to us server? i can play smoothly at us server. playing on asia server give a massive lag and latency issue

Asia server is very lag, come to US server.

already move to US server. Now just level 19 Barbarian. Hehe.. US server quite good gameplay, still lag sometimes, and sometimes very smooth even many monsters come to me.

Everything goes smoothly except the latency problem.

confirm not ROS because Crusader not available.

ah ok. cause my ros is 19.1gb. guess blizz just make us download the whole thing. heh. anyway, glad that you can play smoothly now by changing to US server.

Still encounter some latency problem. Sometimes hit the mob and the mob stands there. Few seconds later the mob die. But overall playable

i already mentioned the most critical information for your issue so you either proceed to fix that (again, searched this forums?) or consider this a lag game and sell it off or something.

the thread has already serve it's purpose and i highly suggesting closing this thread before more irrelevant replies steer it's direction away.

actually we should play opposing servers (eg malaysia ppl play US servers) due to time zone differences to avoid overcrowded right? so that when US sleeping time, we will be awake to play the game

Nope don't think that is an issue, i used to play from morning till midnight, and i don't feel any lags.

Meanwhile Asia server, it lags from time to time.

It basically create your game in AUS/NZ server rather then US. you can still play with your friends in US server. but if you join your friend's game made in US server, you will be connecting to US server. Vice versa, If your friend joins your game made in AUS/NZ, they will connect to your AUS/NZ server.
