QUOTE(Pink Spider @ Feb 10 2015, 01:17 PM) Construction industry is very dirty. Period. Thus, the ethical side of me tells me not to invest in them. Yeah I work in one but guru say don't make enemies with money and stable salary sorry unker...i mean boss But the main thing is earnings visibility...construction stock is not something that u can buy and forget about it. Unk...ker??? that bad meh construction industry.. you mean in terms in manipulation of financials? sometimes wanna invest also headache...don't wanna to invest also headache.... |

talking about oil & gas..
coastal from what I understand is actually a shipbuilding co. but recently they also involve in jack up rig. fundamentally its quite good...except for the rig involvement as oil price is now falling. current price is quite attractive. what do your guys think...is the price good for investing/ trading? gark, boon or anyone here... your comments please |

yup, I did ask before about coastal.
that time oil was tumbling and I was 50-50 dunno to enter or not. then read about some of the comments here about the jug that coastal made. but now the price seems to hv stabalize for this counter and oil is not as volatile as the 2nd half of last year. that's why i'm looking back at this counter and see whether its worth to invest in the medium and long term. that's why asking for other pov from all here. I think if we take away the rig issue, this company seems quite well run/ managed? I could be wrong. I guess now the main issue is whether we dare take the risk and invest in this share and if we do...must prepare to hold medium to long term. like some here hv said....price of oil will recover but when but anyway, really appreciate the many feedback & tips here. it made me view this stock from another angle. |

not familiar with warrant and wanna ask u guys.
for example homer. for warrant they proposed 1 free warrant for every 4 shares held. say if i got 4 homer right now...that means i will get one free warrant right? after getting the warrant, can i sell it right away? if i don't sell...once ex-date then what happens to my warrant? never deal with warrant before so not quite sure. |

QUOTE(spring onion @ May 21 2015, 11:22 PM) for every 4 units of homer, you get 1 free warrant i see...tq..tqex-date for free warrant = you get free warrant entitlement date = warrant listing date, you received the free warrant free warrant expires = convert it or your warrant become toilet paper wanna ask u the final part. if say the warrant expires on 1st june...and conversion price is 30 cents. and the mother share is at RM1 at 1st june....so if i convert, i pay 30 cents and the warrant will change to mother share right?...so i technically gain 70 cents? really zero knowledge on warrants and how it works. |

QUOTE(spring onion @ May 23 2015, 12:20 AM) no. you don't i see...tqvm...now i learn something about warrant let's say warrant trading price at 1st june is priced at 0.70, and conversion price is 30 cents, you make no gain no loss let's say warrant trading price at 1st june is priced at 0.20, and conversion price is 30 cents, you make again of 50 cent let's say warrant trading price at 1st june is priced at 1, and conversion price is 30 cents, you make a loss of 30 cent if you convert, my as well don't convert but i can sell it before conversion/ ex-date and make a clean profit right? lets say if warrant price is 20 cents today and i sell it now...so i make 20 cents. sometimes if get free warrant, to sell it off immediately also not a bad idea....less risk i think for example your 3rd scenario where warrant is RM1 if i convert will lose 30 cents.. |
