Huh?

How do you define stable and good dividend?

Nestle? What's the yield? Is dividends increasing or not?

Better still... I know you have BJauto but what's the yield for BJAuto?
*
I define stable as not having too much volatility in the stock price the past one year

I define good dividend as any stock having DY>2%

But I accept each person have their own interpretation of what is a stable stock and good dividend. Some people will demand dividend growth and high yield >4% for a stock to be considered good dividend.

Nestle DY is 3.14 and the dividends are increasing each year from 2009.

BJauto DY is 2.39. But I estimate the DPS will be higher in FY2015.

Beware auto stock...esp single-marque auto companies like BJAUTO (they're taking in Inokom too, right?)

Their profitability and earnings growth will depend much on parent Mazda pushing out attractive models that market wants.

Thank you for your warning. I have stopped buying BJauto since it go above 3.20. But if there is a correction, I will buy more. Or maybe I will wait for SIME Darby Auto IPO to diversify whistling.gif

I see you have 11 counters. What is your opinion on diversification? Since I only have 3 counters, i am still surveying other great stocks to buy.

Lousy stocks are only for sharks. Ikan bilis like me will be eaten for lunch if I enter the water.

Latest is the Berjaya Toto's trust..to be listed in SGX   rolleyes.gif

Also VT is the main shark at his counters.. watch out for that.  wink.gif

Hands were too itchy  sweat.gif and had to get some OnG stocks.

If hands itchy, just scratch it la. Gark said OnG may need 1-2 years to recover

Great stuff!
Thanks for sharing!  thumbup.gif

share back a few sen opinion hor.....

Yes, I HAD been a big fan of the stronger USD trend.
It's my good friend.

However, most would know that I had not been a fan of the rubber glove industry.
I am still not a fan.
Why?
I feel the over capacity issue in the dog eat cat rubber glove industry is massive.
Also said many times before...
the good times in this industry is over.
Yes, it had a wonderful boom....
but the boom is past.....
and so far, there is no data that indicates this has or will change.

I like to speculate but I do not like to be way early in my speculation to the point of trying to catch when and where  an industry fortune(s) will change...
which is why I avoid sectors like gloves....
and which is also why I will call a pass on any oil & gas sectors for now...
it's way too early....
just my opinions which you might not agree....

anyway... when I said the good times is over....
well here is TopGlove's recent quarterly earnings.

user posted image

as you can see, the recent number of red arrows indicating quarter profits of declining profits....

it's not a positive picture....

certainly not for someone like me...
who values earnings growth....
and who certainly believes a great company as a company whose profits are growing....

Having said that...
well in terms of charting...

here is TopGlove current chart...

user posted image

it's a rather optimistic chart.... (ah... also do consider the risk of any possible good 'profits' been priced in )

and I can understand the reason why to be optimistic....

user posted image

well... all the best and good luck.
