I am really interested in getting this. I was torn between this and the Lenovo Y50. The only reason why I would choose this is because of the better screen + sound system(from what I have heard). But is the overheating issue resolved for you guys yet? And really curious if I should get it now considering I see some of you having problems with it.

there is no overheating issue  cool2.gif  just very paranoid owners of their laptops  biggrin.gif . as long as you make sure there is clearance at your fans and also play in a cool environment, as well as not checking hwinfo every few seconds, you should be fine

So it's a recommended budget gaming laptop right? biggrin.gif

yup, but there is some compromises, short battery life (3 hrs browsing) and dodgy touchpad. screen is good and gtx 860m plus 12 gb ram is a bonus for its price

I don't mind the battery life since I'll probably use it plugged in most of the time and I'll be using a mouse heh

Just got my laptop and I am very impressed with the audio and the screen met my expectations biggrin.gif. A question (a stupid one) about adjusting the fan speed, does that mean if I want to change it's speed I'll have to manually do it before and after playing something?

Quick question. If i were to manually change the fan speed manually to the fastest EVERY time I play video games (maybe indie games is an exception since they don't require much energy), will it kill the fan or is it fine to make it on full speed all the time I game.
