Replacement iPad, Is it possible to get a replaced ipad?

If the iPad is still under warranty but got damaged beyond repair(not purposely), is it possible to request for a replacement of the same model of iPad?

My iPad is broken, and the technician at MacCity said that the hardware failure is beyond repair.
Actually, the problem started since I got it on the first day.
If it is still under warranty, is it possible to get a brand new replacement from mac city?
the ipad model is ipad 3rd generation.

Please, I need an advice on this, because it seems that the worker in Mac city are not willing to replace me a new iPad, while this is a common in US Apple Store if they failed to repair your apple device under warranty.

How old is your iPad and what problem are you having with it?

Anyway, resellers don't have the best support and you can't compare them with Apple Store because they ain't the official Apple Store. Besides, they don't have the same policies. As for the warranty, it can be a pain in the *** to claim because sometimes they refuse to honor it. You should've told them about the problem earlier, because you said your iPad started to have problem since day one.

Apple Store in the other hand, gives you 10 or 14 days to return problematic unit, and they will replace it with a brand new unit as long as you return it within the stated period. If you return after 10/14 days, it will be treated as standard warranty, and they will replace it with a refurbished unit, which looks new.
