QUOTE(pch4936 @ Feb 3 2015, 11:41 AM)
I have tried to play these MOBA games, mostly because my friends play them and they want me to play also. But I didn't have enough time to learn it and when I first tried to play, it was with my friends and other players, so it was very difficult and not fun to play. Since then, I have given up on playing, but now I want to give it another try.

I have probably played 3 hours of LoL, and 1 hour of DOTA 2. I heard that it takes a lot of time to learn the game.
My question is, how long does it usually take to get the hang of everything and start having fun?
I've decided to go with DOTA 2, but is it easy to switch to LoL (or HoN) afterwards?
And any beginner tips? (I haven't started playing the game yet, so if there is a guide worth reading, let me know)
Thanks!  notworthy.gif

You are asking us, Dota fans and players and we will say whatever it is right. But however, it all depends on your own preference. I started playing Dota when I was 12 year old and that time I was only playing v 5.84. It takes time to learn, back then I used to go to internet cafe and keep watching people play and learn how to last hit, how to move my fingers faster to cast skill and all. The most important part for me was I must play with my friends because we will learn everything together. I'd say it'll probably take around a few months for you to acquire the basic and once you got the basic just aim for improvement. Although I started playing when I was 12, but my playing time keeps fluctuate so I'd say my experience is just around 2 years. I'm in my 20's.

Thanks for your reply, do you need to spend money on items and stuff as your level gets higher?

Nope, it's all free and you don't have to spend for anything. But there is always a choice for you to spend if you want to get hero's set and all. Yup. For me, I've spent around Rm150 so far.
