QUOTE(eehong @ May 8 2015, 12:45 PM) I've did a online application for Maxis 10MB, staying in Bandar Utama. guess what the customer service called me yesterday and told me there aren't any available port for my place anymore (apparently TM have no ports for Maxis anymore). so they can't do the installation for me. But TM people keep calling and asking me to switch over to UniFi die die bug them for RM30 off from their RRP any advise from your guys?? thank you |

QUOTE(gkong3 @ May 22 2015, 10:53 AM) The 100Mbps package does not make much sense. Yes, you get 100Mbps, but in practice, that's 10MBps. That's LAN speed (albeit the lower end). Within the minute, you would have burned through 600MB. Within the hour, 3.6GB of your quote would be gone. By tomorrow, bye bye quota. yes 100Mbps i think they are specially designed for those who is mature adult. dont feel offended and dont get me wrong. i dont know what word suits more than 'mature'. 'Mature' i meant here is they are very busy at work, torrent/download are not their thing, light usage on facebook/youtube video, maybe used for tele-conference, occasionally share files on cloud with instant speed.Of course, that's if you max out your connection 24/7. But I fail to see the current use case otherwise. I routinely use up over 150GB of bandwidth every month, and that's on a 10Mbps line. Which Time will give for less than RM179. And you will get 50Mbps line speed for an hour a day, roughly, which means you will have the high speed when you need it. Unless you're doing cloud backup, in which case being able to pump 10MBps into your service provider (assuming that your backup service can handle the speed) is a good idea... but then, BOOM! 10% into your 1TB backup, it slows down all the way. Better if you used the 20Mbps line instead. Same price, increased throughput over time. |
