Hi everyone, anyone has "user.ini" config file for Thomson tg784n gateway (grey colour one). I cant login to to "Administrator" account at router config page 192.168.1.254 after hard reset sad.gif Have to use znalr.jobrate.org's javascript method to hack... Thanks :

Maxis no ipv6, VoIP rj11 cable sticks out from maxis's own router instead of TM's BTU. The TM BTU's rj11 port is reserved for TM subscribers. This configruration limit your router choice, not much router that has rj11 port

Undeniably, at RM 89 maxis's entry level (30M) unlimited internet home internet package is better deal than TM's offering of streamyx 4mbps for RM90? unifi basic not a fair competitor cause 60GB quota and only available to select market(B40).

UPDATE:just reached their customer service, if existing user want to change plan, u can fill up the form anytime, and ur contract would be refreshed for another 24 months, no timeframe and no surcharge implemented for u to decide whether to downgrade to NEW plan with better pricing. RM 10 surplus for both iflix and unlimited VoIP(only 30M).

Most subscribers are stuck between sticking to original plan and wait for speed bump, or downgrade to better pricing. Regarding speed upgrade, still no news at the moment. The speed upgrade mostly likely done like TM fashion, which is automatic, 10x and no contract renewal.

Imo, the 24 months recontract is unfair absolutely. It's meant to protect their own best interest, they implement this to refrain you from jumping towards lower tier plan which in turn reduce their earnings per month.

they most likely shift you to 100 mbps plan for rm 129 upon speed upgrade in future at no additional cost and contract period, but atm, no news yet regarding speed upgrade

There are 2 kinds of aminia routers, as far as im concerned. I suspect, the ma131 black one is for oneprime or biz, the white one is a rebadged netis dl4480v1, no antenna, erecting

Yes, dont be fooled by the router with feature like dual bandwidth. It has the feature doesnt guarantee, performance is another story. As usual from maxis, this router goes haywire once high download speed required or many devices connected. Some devices automatically got kicked, authentication failed

What i understand from danieltay is that nothing has been promised to him yet, no definite date when the new plan would take effect is made known to him. What he needs is a confirmation or approval of request/application to make the switch towards new plan. Else, he would still stuck to the old plan until for as long as maxis take to approve and confirm his plan change request
I think for the new plan take to effect, just confirmation from maxis side is required. Router change is optional, your plan will still take effect even though router install later than your new plan activation date. New plan also take effect even though no router change, as long as maxis receive and approve application then make the CONFIRMATION call with customer. The earlier the call is received, the earlier the new plan take effect, prevailing the old plan, otherwise still stuck with old monthly rate. Thats why the call is so important.

Regarding port , can someone enlighten me on this? Last time I heard one house can only use one port, in this forum, I discovered that one house can subscribe up to 4 lines? How does the port concept work? 1 port one account or 1 port can support multiple accounts?

That my fren right there is rating of customer service right there, need customers to be proactive pula when is is their fault to begin with. Gotta admit customer service depends on luck actually. There's no denying that in life, luck or u may define it as possiblity also play a role, it's part of life
