For the RM159 deal, the price revert back to 249 right? Anyone get offer to retain the same price or lower after 2 years contract?

Just request for termination, u will get attractive package. But your contract will be renewed to 24 months.

Similar sop like 2 years ago?

I remembered 2 years ago it was something like :

Submit docs to agent for processing

Get transfer port request then maxis call u 1st time to confirm..
Once confirm then they will start process..

Get the transfer code then bring to maxis center...
At maxis center they will call u 2nd time to retain u... Usually quite good offer. So after maxis counter offer me d then bopian cancel agent there. Lol. So paiseh... šŸ˜‚ šŸ˜‚

Except now you don't have to bring transfer ID to Maxis centre. Maxis will call you to counter offer, if you reject the offer then Maxis will approve the transfer request.

Both, as an existing customer I never get a call from sales to upgrade. Paying RM149 for 500mbps and RM79 for postpaid

My relative recently accepted a free upgrade of the router (with recontract)

They swapped the TP-Link EX510 with a Huawei LG8245X6-12

Now, I was under the impression that after the contract, the old router is your's to keep and you get the new Huawei

However, the technician took away the old TP-Link

I thought we are supposed to keep it?

Technican says policy is like that to take back.

Maxis also give ONR like unifi? Can I use my own router? Can't decide to stick with unifi or port over to maxis. The main worry is possible long delay when there is fiber issue involving TM.

If it's major, area wide fiber issue then don't worry as other TM customer will complain and they will fix it quickly

But if it's fiber issue within your premise then there will be some ping pong between Maxis and TM

Maxis is still using separate modem / fiber solution

Thank you for the information. I guess safer to stick with unifi since I work from home. Speed of restoration is important for me.

Well, if you have no issue with UniFi currently you won't have issue with Maxis. My condo is also using UniFi infra and I'm using Maxis Fiber, it has been three years, TM was not required to fix anything that specific for my unit. If it is any outage, it affects all users regardless UniFi, Maxis, Digi or etc, TM will still fix for everyone.

I also work from home exclusively smile.gif

I think what fruitie said is a good point

Just to add on that if it's a condo property, TM is only responsible for the fiber cable up to the condo MDF room

If there's anything wrong there, TM will restore it quickly as it affects their own customer as well

Anything after MDF room is your condo management's responsibility

Maxis only provide private IP unless you pay RM10 per month
