No issue I guess. I woke up and nobody complained in our condo group. Also KL area.

Hi guys, just recently came back to Maxis Fibre after using Unifi for quite some time. They came and installed the new Skyworth Modem + black router.

I want to change back to my ROG router to replace the black one, did all the usual steps (PPPoE username and password, ISP profile Maxis-Fibre).

Had the "Connected" status inside the router webpage and no red light on the router.

Problem is I am not connected to the internet. Cannot speedtest or browse.

I am stuck, the provided router works just fine. What am I missing?

Yes check DNS setting.

Not sure the exact setting for your ROG router, but try go to LAN > IPTV > Select ISP Profile > Choose Maxis.

Hi all. My nokia onu modem g240ge suddenly negotiates only 100mbps into my asus router.

Tested with a new lan cable, old kaon router, also 100mbps, resulting all my internet speed capped to 100. (I subbed to 500down 100up).

Anyone has occured this before? Since its cuti raya i doubt help from maxis will come quick.

Clean LAN port pins with alcohol, make sure it's dry before plugging in again

Holy shit. Now a different issue. Asus router suddenly says "invalid account or password, please modify it" on the main page. Using wizard, on pppoe wizard shows like wrong account or password.

Username : accnumber@home.maxis.com.my
Password : accnumber1

Using kaon router, shows PPP Status
ERROR_AUTHENTICATION_FAILURE

Did you connect router to a wrong port

Note: Maxis fiber must use LAN2

On Nokia uses lan 2, other port not detected. I also never change anything in router settings or physically. Everything should be working. But Till now 4am still auth error.

No choice. Time for you to call up Maxis CS.

Yeah. Called them 7am. Now waiting for technician to hit me back. Hopefully today can settle.

Hey everyone, has anyone using Maxis Fibre experienced intermittent internet outages lasting a few hours every two weeks? When reporting the issue to Maxis customer service, they always blame TM. Where can I file a complaint about this unstable connection and the slow response from Maxis CS?

Maxis maxpert came, declared modem faulty. But tm infra so have to wait for tm for a new modem. 100mbps due to faulty modem.

For the pppoe auth error is a bit wierd. I dunno what the tech did, but suddenly kaon changed to a new pppoe password, no longer the usual account number1.

Copied that, paste into asus, can connect again. Hopefully no random pass change.

I did ask the pppoe auth error issue, he seems reluctant to answer. Keep showing the auth light on modem, and said since no internet so auth error. I dont wanna push since he came from kajang to port klang. As long as i get stable line is good enough for these couple days.

Maxis changed their password nowadays

It's no longer username + 1

So what the new password format?

Fully random like Unifi

Mix of characters and it's case sensitive

So old users can still continue using the previous password right?
