Hello, any other maxis user facing issue with their Netflix account?
Twice this month already my public ip given by maxis has been flagged and blocked by maxis for being a vpn or proxy address. First it was a 14.192 and now it’s the 122 ip range. Really don’t understand what could be the problem |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Sep 4 2024, 09:51 PM) I wonder if this applies for Maxis Home users as well? If yes, I will request a port in this week. |

QUOTE(QuantumEdge @ Sep 4 2024, 09:51 PM) i can understand the intent and the benefit when it comes to blocking malware, scams, gambling, adult contents, and criminals, but i don't trust MCMC will limit itself to just those, and i don't trust the ISPs will stop at just Google's and Clodflare's DNS. |

The hidden motive we all know is definitely censorship.also for adult content, over on the Unifi thread someone noticed that them blocking CleanBrowsing Adult resulted in less sites being blocked lol, since cleanbrowsing's list covers more domains PRSXFENG liked this post

QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 4 2024, 11:47 PM) For me at least, both TIME and Maxis's DNS redirection can be bypassed using DoT/DoHThe only ISP that's playing around with blocking is Unifi But I think you better monitor for a while before porting out PRSXFENG liked this post

QUOTE(Oltromen Ripot @ Sep 5 2024, 12:29 PM) they're practical. DoT they can just block off the port to enforce no usage of encrypted DNS server.how effective will this filtering be after all. almost all recent browsers now have DoH and DoT support embedded inside. the only thing not yet widespread mainstream is system-wide DoT and DoH support inside OS itself, and that is also due to some users are still using old OS. DoH I believe is tricky to do as the port is the same as other HTTPS traffic. They can’t block the port or else the Internet will be broken. They’ll block/redirect the IP addresses of popular DNS servers. PRSXFENG liked this post

QUOTE(OKLY @ Sep 5 2024, 01:26 PM) DoT they can just block off the port to enforce no usage of encrypted DNS server. i've been testing to enable DoH and DoT in iOS, system-wide not just browser-based, since yesterday.DoH I believe is tricky to do as the port is the same as other HTTPS traffic. They can’t block the port or else the Internet will be broken. They’ll block/redirect the IP addresses of popular DNS servers. so far, i found DoH to be more performant than DoT for the DNS provider I am aiming to use. |

Hi guys, need to unplug the fiber cable because I’m in the middle of renovation.
So just to clarify the backup usb modem 4g sim will only work if fiber’s down but not if it’s disconnected? |
