I have a question everyone,

Can TG784n V3 set schedule on wireless on/off? Wanted to make it turned off during the night which could reduce radiation level during sleeping time.

Thank you for your response smile.gif  biggrin.gif

server side issue...

anyway maxis fiber home is private IP so you will only get 1 IP address only. If u wan use randomly generated IP, den u have to call Maxis and request change ur account to PUBLIC IP address, FOC too.

Just a noob question. Can i replace my slowpoke thompson router to third part router? But I am using Maxis IPTV (Astro) do I need to configure my router to connect to my astro decoder?

Thompson router freaking annoyed me because of the frequent disconnect and my ps4 always set at NAT3 type which got limitation on party chat.

Hi there. Is my area covered by Maxis Fibre? Because literally the neighboring taman which is across the street has it (200m away). My address is PT10413, Jalan BBN 11/3P, Taman Desa Melati, 71800, Nilai, N9.

If there isn't coverage, is there anything i can do to get maxis to extend their service here? Literally all the neighbouring tamans have fibre internet. And the reason why my side doesn't have it when i wanted to register a year ago was because maxis owns my area and only provides 2mbps broadband. Unifi infra going up all around me as we speak, but still no choice.

Hi,

Based on checking, currently your address is not yet covered for fibre service. At this moment service is only available at Jalan Melati, Taman Desa Melati. Do check time to time for the serviceable coverage via fibre coverage check. Address will updated if the service is available in your area.

Thank You

if you are lazy , get a third party router.....more stable and better signal
if you no budget , just walk to the router and turn it off manually

Hi webber,

Yes, the call is valid as we're currently conducting an improvement exercise on one of our Maxis Fibre Internet equipment, involving only certain Maxis Fibre Internet customers in identified areas.

Thank You

So my router (wifi modem) from maxis died early this week and I decided to check the warranty on it from maxis' website and this is what was written there:

Maxis Home Fibre
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Since I thought the warranty is only for a year and I've had it for around 5 years already so maybe I could check what's wrong with it myself, I opened the router since if it's something minor like a loose contact I could easily fix it without paying RM250 for a new one. I decided to call maxis for a replacement router after that.

2 days later, the replacement guy came and saw that I have opened up my router and told me that warranty won't be able to cover it anymore. He told me the router has a lifetime warranty and I was shocked because if I knew there was a lifetime warranty, I wouldn't have done it.

Should I call maxis and insist that I was mislead by the website and have the replacement fee waived or will it be pointless?

TLDR: router broke, website says 1 year warranty only, mine's way over warranty so I opened up the router, replacement guy told me there's lifetime warranty on router later.
