Even if it's possible to be done for free, they might renew your contract for another 24 months. sweat.gif
Contact Maxis directly for more info.

Anyone here downgrade from 500mbps?
I’m sharing with friends, and since 1-2 people moved out. I need to downgrade
Seems like from hotline said i need to finish the remaining contract first to downgrade 😬
But other lower speed can downgrade anytime, i wasn’t aware of this

but the way which model u using now?.second depend your usage if got budget can change your own router more stable than maxis, makesure your router all the port is under 1gb lan port wan wan port(most of the market product now)if less than 300mbps no need to buy performance router or expensive because u did not fully use.do some survey before u buy any new router or u plan to upgrade your plan to higher than can consider purchase better high performance router AX.if not AC router still can been use.

Yesterday major issue with Maxis Fibre here in Perak. Network was still up but all routing to SG almost messed up.

Latency to SG major networks all shot above 60-70ms some even above 100ms.

Problem lasted until early this morning then happen again intermittently this towards afternoon today.

Now back normal but keeping fingers crossed.

Any unscheduled upgrading works or repairs going on? No official announcement from Maxis at all.

Just buy a new one 3rd party router or a unused Maxis 2nd hand unused unit out there.
Don't lock yourself for another 24 months for nothing.

Nowadays less than RM300 can replace a new WiFi6 router already.Make sure it's Malaysian customized with pre settings to connect to our local ISPs.

Only issue is you might want to dump to pull out your fixed line phone as these 3rd party routers don't have VoIP ports unless you want to bridge the old Maxis router to it to continue using your phone.
