Even if it's possible to be done for free, they might renew your contract for another 24 months. I have been using the original one they give me since in 2016 Contact Maxis directly for more info. |

Yesterday major issue with Maxis Fibre here in Perak. Network was still up but all routing to SG almost messed up.
Latency to SG major networks all shot above 60-70ms some even above 100ms. Problem lasted until early this morning then happen again intermittently this towards afternoon today. Now back normal but keeping fingers crossed. Any unscheduled upgrading works or repairs going on? No official announcement from Maxis at all. |

QUOTE(Halfhearted04 @ Dec 6 2020, 05:13 PM) Is it possible to request router upgrade to newer model free of charge ? Just buy a new one 3rd party router or a unused Maxis 2nd hand unused unit out there.I have been using the original one they give me since in 2016 Don't lock yourself for another 24 months for nothing. Nowadays less than RM300 can replace a new WiFi6 router already.Make sure it's Malaysian customized with pre settings to connect to our local ISPs. Only issue is you might want to dump to pull out your fixed line phone as these 3rd party routers don't have VoIP ports unless you want to bridge the old Maxis router to it to continue using your phone. |
