Err...noob questions:

(1) 10% tax withheld from REIT dividends...do I have to report in my income tax submission?
(2) The 10% tax can be claimable? But...I doubt my tax bracket lower than 10%... hmm.gif
(3) Can just go the AGM empty-handed? Or must bring along the Annual Report? unsure.gif

Private Placement is RM1.20... that means selected "big" investor can buy QCAPITA shares at RM1.20 each.

I really understand yr EMOTIONAL TURMOIL... Coz some ppl really are CON.
My tenant.. will tell story like.. sure will bank in. Pukul 6 , u check.
then next day, will say, by end of week, so ding dong for few months.
then after 4 th month, i ask them leave... They finally left after 6th month.
Tenant says, he will leave the aircond, contra with the outstanding rental.
So,OK la.. Then, on a weekend, quietly took away the aircond and
damage the doors... left lots of rubbish behind.

See the property also headache already.

All malls will die someday, I believe years ago no one would have believed Sg Wang to have its current fate.

So the REIT manager of the malls must pro-actively secure better tenants to attract foot traffic to their malls

Hello All.
I am new to REIT investment. Seeking some guidance:
I need CDS account (unlike unit trust)?
If so, should I seek Remisers, Banks or Rakuten?
Thanks.
*
Yes... REIT is just like stocks (just another form)

KC Chong's view on Dividend Reinvestment Plan

You must be referring to those companies which declare a dividend, and the shareholders are given the option to either take cash or reinvest the dividend back to the company by taking additional units of shares, called share dividend. The payment of shares is known as a dividend reinvestment plan (DRP). Not many companies do this.

Companies may decide to offer share dividend to keep cash within the company when it has a need for the cash for the growth of the company. The share dividend may be allocated with new shares issued, or from the Treasury share account which the company has bought back its own shares. Yes, they often come in odd lots which is harder to sell separately.

DRP is better than the normal share dividend as the shareholders have a choice whether to take cash or the additional share. Whether to take cash or DRP depends on individuals, whether he thinks there is good growth prospect for the company and the dividend reinvested as DRP will bring better return in the future, or if he wishes to use the dividend to invest in other companies as a diversification, or simply needs the money for consumption.

If the shareholders think the company has good growth prospect, it is better to take up the DRP, as often, the company offers a discount from the market price if shareholder reinvests in DRP. It is simple and cost effective as the process is automatic and free of brokerage.
